    2007 co-op

    - People who apply for coop usually apply for more than one. If you get accepted for both obviously you can only take one - Already mentioned, people who get better scholarships - People who end up going to another university for whatever reason - People who decide they don't want the...

    2007 co-op

I don't think there's a hard and fast rule for the size of the shortlist. When I did mine we guessed it was equal to the number of places there are too, but it makes more sense for them to put anyone they think is a candidate on the shortlist, with a "reasonable" number being the number of...

help website for ext1english major work

The Flash built-in tutorials are quite helpful if you've never used Flash before :)

    Plan your timetable!

I don't like the new by-session enrolment process. You just won't know whats available in session 2 and plan out your load properly.

    2007 co-op

Or they do not accept the coop offer, then they go down the shortlist. I doubt it...if someone turns out to be a real jerk in person they would not want them on the shortlist, and it would be a lot of people to shortlist (which has to be ordered)

    session 2 results

On a similar note, I was really bored at work one day and made this spreadsheet to help me plan out my degree...works out WAM, UOC done etc etc. Its good to use if you started uni in 2003 otherwise you'll just need to change some labels and things around to suit yourself.

When should a person / When did you upgrade your phone ?

There are privacy laws in most countries for camera phones to must have a shutter sound when taking photos.

When should a person / When did you upgrade your phone ?

Quite a few people I know haven't replaced them. A sparky I know still uses it too because they're so much more sturdier. I still have mine as well :) I use it for experimenting with SMS control. Having a camera and colour screen is one thing, but spending $600 on a new phone because the phone...

    Internet Providers & "Deals" ??!

62.97 is kilobits per second. 7.87 is kilobytes per second. They're the same quantity/speed, just different measurement units.

When should a person / When did you upgrade your phone ?

I just got a new Sony Ericsson K610i because my last Panasonic broke. I'm not too sure why some people spend tonnes of money on getting a new phone every couple of months because its got some new feature / looks better than their current phone. If it makes phone calls, and receives phone calls...

    Internet Providers & "Deals" ??!

Sometimes being on a bad exchange really ruins things. I have a friend on 1.5Mbps ADSL out west and they can't stream videos from sites like YouTube fast enough. While you're at it: http://www.ozspeedtest.com/

    Internet Providers & "Deals" ??!

It sounds like you're talking about downloading on a P2P network. Then like you already said it depends on how many people have the file and how fast their connection is. If only one person is sending you a file and is sending it at 1KB/s then it doesn't matter how fast your connect is or what...

    general UNSW chit-chat

Think about it this way - say you have a "timetabling officer" for each school. Thats a number of people the uni would be paying money for, when it could be all centralised into one system and managed by just a handful of people. To add to that, the end result should be streamlined - less...

    DOS/Command Prompt

If already in C: cd "C:\documents and settings\user\desktop\folder" Otherwise finish off with X: to change to that drive as well. Having autocompleting with tab goes even faster :)
