They can be deferred like regular in session courses. Summer/winter courses usually run all week for most if not the entire day during the week. 48 hours over 10 days = 4.8 hours a day...which is not very much at all. 6 hours...start at 9am, finish 3pm. :p It really depends on the course...

Programs like Speedfan don't always give you the right numbers since sometimes you need to manually configure the program for each different computer. If something is at 124 degrees you should be able to smell it or feel the computer's insides being much hotter than it should be. 50 degrees when...

Not that I know of in any subjects :( In AI we use Prolog and Java. Whats used does depend on the lecturer taking the course though..

Are there other lecture streams that you can attend for those subjects? If there is, then you'll probably need a pretty good reason (as in not just saying you'll catch up), but if theres no other way for you timetable to work other than having those classes clash then the chances are you won't...

Replacement laptop CD/DVD drives are really that expensive, usually at least $150 up depending on features. You could try your luck with eBay, someone might be selling their parts or selling no brand replacements. If you want a cheap solution and not really worry about taking the drive around...
