    what's your fave ice-cream?

Re: Favorite Ice-Cream Flavours? They do. They are just ninja's so you can never see what they are doing (including if they are eating ice-cream :p).

    HSC Physics Marathon 2013-2015 Archive

Re: HSC Physics Marathon 2014 Also, what direction does the wire travel in? Show working for formula with a simple explanation of each part (dw about getting the actual value, just worry about getting the formula). (answer: 0.5 m/s)

    Extension 3 maths

That's pretty cool actually to do. Wish I heard about this or the HS comp back in my day. I do agree that it won't make MX2 easier in any way, so in terms of what OP said to make MX2 easier, it won't work like that. But yeah having an extra curricular MX3 (which maybe does not count for HSC or...

    Extension 3 maths

Not sure about that actually. Have never heard of it (in that case it should be advertised more). Nah I wouldn't say MATH1141 would be the best idea. I have not done discrete maths (is it MATH1081 ?) (nor do I have to ever do it), but apparently that's quite different. Maybe something like that...

Coop Scholarship - Should my tone be formal or blog-ish?

At the end of the day, look at the sources of information you are getting in terms of what is best for your application. You can't rely on me because I didn't even make the interview stage. I am making suggestions to what I possibly could have done wrong, but I am still not sure (should of...

    The question of the decade.

Re: ON's question on shitty ice-cream (literally). Hahahahaha fk I'll just change the title from here on in.

Coop Scholarship - Should my tone be formal or blog-ish?

I did mine professional but just overloaded my achievements and what I learnt from them. Wasn't enough for an interview and I guess its related to the fact that they didn't see in me what they wanted. They will want people who can bring stuff to the program, fit the requirements, bring stuff...

    Extension 3 maths

This thread had potential but a lot of people dun goofed with their posts. Although something like MX3 would never be introduced by BOSTES themselves, if advertised enough I would think that maybe some unis would offer a high school students mathematics course with much more depth and analysis...

do i really need physics for software engineering

I can imagine anything in IT, SDD, or something that involves coding would be beneficial. Also, maths would be quite a big requirement (well problem solving in general). I find the hardest thing with coding is knowing exactly what you need to do. Planning how to problem solve stuff is quite a...

    Weekend cars.

Well I think that is more related to the fact that I said this: Indeed once you go for something that pushes equipment to the limits, you require more frequent parts replacement or servicing. I basically only replaced my rocker cover gasket after having the car for 70 000 km. Pretty much...

Lol how ironic when you meant to say properly. _____________________ Although I just posted that above, do stay a bit more on topic lol. There's a mix of posts to sift through which are not on topic and don't let them accentuate and destroy the topic.

    Weekend cars.

Do remember that with any rotary engine they pretty much lose output and get damaged frequently with use. As for any of these more performance type sports vehicles, they require a lot more maintenance than people think. My ej25 barely requires maintenance at the moment, but I have a feeling if...

How harsh are HSC Economics markers?

I did 4 or 5 hours study the day before and got band 4 :D I made up stuff in the exam. I literally have no idea how I even passed lol. So maybe marking is lenient on the lower end. I can imagine it being a lot tougher on the high end when you start hitting high Band 5's and stuff.

    Extension 3 maths

Content would be quite different though and in the scope of HSC methods there is not much else that could be done without bringing in new definitions that have solid proofs and stuff (you'll see that uni maths and the methods you learn are slightly different than HSC maths). As soon as start...

are laser pointers legal in nsw

Nah int serves him fine for his purposes. Lets keep the derail out of here lol. Funnily enough this caused a shitstorm on TNT a few weeks ago lel. But yeah take this to derail thread now lol. EDIT: h8'ers gonna h8.

too many people aiming for 99.95?

In uni your social life will most likely get better and you'll be a bit more chilled in comparison to HSC (until its week 10 and then you start cramming about 25+ hours a week again despite having put in effort throughout the semester :haha:).

are laser pointers legal in nsw

Meh if you are desperate for one you can tax one from a lecturer. I'd never do it though, and I'd rather buy a legal one and just use it if necessary (I wouldn't need one any way when I have high beams on a car lol). I did find once what seemed to be a laser pointer in a bush area, but instead...
