I did about 10 hours of sports and 5 hours of EC's a week during school and got 96+. But then again school was such a bludge. I do more now at uni and its a lot harder to juggle with extra things lol.

Why study maths when PCB's get degrees?

Even if it is a top ranked school, the externals are still worth 50% so they play a large game in the end. Although estimates can be subjective to different situations and are a rough guide, even if someone was ranked first in everything in subjects that scale relatively high at James Ruse...

I get what you mean though in a sense that too many people might be "expecting" to have a crack at 99.95. No-one is given 99.95 straight away before the final HSC exams because there is still 50% to go really. Just goes to show that you have to keep on going until all exams are done otherwise...

Don't we all aim to do our best which by nature means we want to be on top and hence we all theoretically aim for a 99.95, but we set goals that we know is due to limits or the underestimated goal is a limit to our means itself (depends though). Coz I know I was aiming for getting as high as...
