i do believe islam has a thing against interest, or at least charging interest on money lent. im not sure if that applies to savings though, but the interest your savings account gets is probably funded through lending.

well depends. worth finding out though. for instance you can claim upto $300 a year pretty easy, add to that the fees and its a $400 deduction already. i just cant be bothered doing it myself, so im happy to pay an expert to do it, one less thing i need to worry about.
