Umm we do. We are instructged to confiscate improperly used SDC's, hence why they constantly want us to check ID's and etc.

I was browsing StoreNet under some directory that had 'trial' policies or something and came across this spot check policy. I didn't really understand it but also forgot to ask my CSM. It will certainly be interesting. We already have huge amounts of money go missing, I don't see how reducing...

Well I don't have any permanent supervision shifts yet. I usually do between 1 and 2 per week though. Sometimes during the day with the manager, sometimes weeknights and weekends. It really depends on what happens. I might be getting Tues/Weds perm though

Our store is having tremendous cutbacks. Our weekday grids are half a page and we're in a major shopping centre. We have 2 staff at night and that is all. You can't replace junior shifts if they call in sick, you'll be written up if you go even 15 minutes over the amount of hours the department...

No this is a maroon lanyard that says "Woolworths Limited" on it.

I want a "Woolworths Limited" lanyard, how does one get one?

I usually do it on Citrix regardless. I can completely finish the entire process before I'd be typing their name in on the registers. I can type extremely fast so that's where that helps. I usually just do it quickly and go back and continue serving, too much hassle to go back and forth.

I don't know anything about it, how bad is that? What is with this stickers crap that every second customer asks me about? #badsupervisor I haven't seen any stickets

Yeah I barely get any, if anything it's "Please check the price for me". You can't have that lookup feature without bagging area restrictions because it would just encourage people to "accidentally" think they WERE scanning it properly but just using the lookup feature.

One thing I noticed was that SCO now reboots a whole lot faster which is good. The boot process is much nicer too, the whole "Retalix Self Checkout Software" screen.

The new SCO is lovely to use. So much nicer (the feeling). It's totes like Coles now. Apparently there was an issue with the machines accepting cash but it not registering on the screen. Also, notice it does the funky process switch when you go into POS and back out to SCO? Needs to just...

Then inbound calls will only ring on certain phones. Night service means it rings on every phone in the store. Woolworths doesn't want this on during trading hours though (despite it being essential sometimes)

Sounds like your phone system was on night switch, otherwise external calls don't come up on mobiles. Night switch is activated/deactivated by using *99 but technically shouldn't be used while the store is trading (although it is handy at night). I didn't use the phone tonight. It was so weird...

I asked if we could use the phones. Nobody knew so I asked my CSM if we could use them. She said yes, so now every shift I wear it. Most people don't want the phones (idk why) so even if I'm not supervising I have the phone on me lol

That's extremely strange :S A roster is meant to be a fixed 'timetable' for every department which expenditure is worked from too. If you're rostered on for that shift, it is YOURS and you should go in for it. I've never heard of places calling you in when you're rostered... That's weird. Daily...

I interperit it as "Process the sale and allow the customer to retain their place in the queue for the item they forgot" - IE in separate transactions.
