Yeah that is permanently our CSM's name. All the managers names on that board are permanent and never change lol

    The Woolworths Thread

Oh is that the fancy name for supervisor now? Duty CSM? haha
  3. iMatthew

    The Woolworths Thread

No but I meant a portable for the department. E.g. the supervisor on duty gets to use one or etc etc
  4. iMatthew

    The Woolworths Thread

Exactly. I thought some departments were getting portables for use at work (liquor (even though they have a phone) and one for service) but I don't think that turned out.. Sucks because It would be fantastic to have a mobile while roaming around.

I went into work today and we had the new Cisco phones!! Yay! Only thing is, they're mini type phones (black) and not the larger sized ones. Also, not happy with the PA functionality. Pres 999 and pick up, wait 2 seconds before it starts to page and there is no beep to indicate the page has...

Oh good idea! No more going to registers to fix produce refunds, can be done from smokeshop now :D
  7. iMatthew

    The Woolworths Thread

Nah I'm talking about a way to manually enter a weight for non-refunds, e.g. smokeshop registers so so you can fix refunds up properly without having to go to a full register.

    The Woolworths Thread

What we really need is a function to enter weight for fruit and veg, not just refund.

But if they return a damaged item, in this case the capsicum, I would normally throw it in the bin when I give them their money.

Yep! My friend in the office just got backpay too. She got close to $2k because of the huge difference in grade 4 vs grade 2 for junior employees since July 1 '11. To think you were the one who started all this! Good job! nanakid, backpay is a lump sum payment of income they previously withheld...

You mean the homeshop department at 'woolies'?

I turn 18 late this month. Think yourself lucky, you won't get a night like that again for ages! YES! Agree agree agree with everything there.

    The Woolworths Thread

Oh nah I'm not talking about longlife staff, specifically service staff that hate getting on a register. I try and avoid calling longlife for express alerts unless I absolutely have to.

I can't stand people who have issues with getting on a register. Why are you working at the store (especially in the service department) if you have an issue with serving? One of the 6.30am starters (finishes at 11.30am) had an issue with my request for them to fill cigarettes the other day...

We made that change months ago.

    The Woolworths Thread

It's a hard situation because the under 18 could have genuinely just been giving the other person some extra money out of good grace. It could also be the fact that the older person was purchasing them for the younger kid who didn't have enough money. I would probably still put that one through...

    The Woolworths Thread

Yeah we aren't like that at all. Every night is covered, I don't see how it would work for us if various supervisors were put on for various shifts in various weeks :P. It's often confusing enough with the amount of shift changes and they all have fixed shifts!
  18. iMatthew

    The Woolworths Thread

WAT. How did you find this out? We need it more than ever. All the fucking phones in our store are dying and we're using a shitty mini version of the LG phones up on service because the big version (with the extension display) broke.. Fucking hell, it's a nightmare.

It's a pickle at the moment. Actually, it' a mess. Basically one of the contracted supervisors started doing duty. So the SM (store manager) is constantly stealing her for duty, this means that the CSM is constantly running around trying to replace her shifts. This isn't the first time our...

No lol, it doesn't work like that, not at my store anyway. Some supervisors are contracted to various day/night supervision shifts. The person contracted to Sunday day now does Duty Management, hence why I now do Sunday days. I'm the person that does Sundays, hence why my manager rostered me on...
