    UNSW Express?

I seriously think you should just buy a travelpass and just drive to hornsby station and train it to Central. You'll save so much time and money

    B/economics

If you do well in your 1st year (say high credit to distinction average), there's a strong chance that you'd be successful in transferring from BEc to BCom

    Lost

Best thing I can suggest is a BCom majoring in Marketing and Accounting. A specialisation in international studies alone I dont think secures you a job within the international dep't of a business

Do you see yourself marrying outside your race?

Well good to see that had a happy ending

    UTS vs. UNSW

Yes, you can complete 4 business law units (as required by the CA/CPA) as well as the double major in Accounting and Finance. And, I don't think you can choose that major for your BEc major, because the Business Strategy major, to my knowledge, is an exclusive major for the BCom.

    Accounting Cadets: UTS vs. UNSW

Dude, you will be able to double major in Finance and Accounting, AND meet all the Business Law requirements for CA. Structure of UNSW Commerce: 144 credit points You need 7 finance subjects and 7 accounting subjects for the double major, and four biz law units added for the CA, plus 12CP...

    Whats the enivironment like?

Yeah there are a lot of internationals in commerce. Probably more so than any other faculty. I recall one legal tutorial I was in, out of about 25 students, only myself and another girl were born in Australia

    Help with gened!!!!!!!!!!!

Don't you have to have online group meetings or whatever though?

    social life at unsw

There's over 100 different societies on campus you can join for your extracurricular stuff. Visit this website www.oweek.unsw.edu.au and it should give you a rundown

    Honours

It differs from school to school. For accounting honours, you need to have done the 3rd year honours component of the cores (ie ACCT3573 and ACCT3593), and have a 75+ average of all ACCT courses (I think)

    Bachelor of Commerce (Liberal Studies)

If a job straight out of uni is what you want, then it matters not which uni you go to, but you as a person. A degree isn't going to get you a job itself, so whether you graduate at Sydney or UNSW doesn't really mean jack unless you have a good record, not just academically, and you can...

    UTS vs. UNSW

The point of what? What's the point of any double degree? Yes, its 3 majors
  13. Minai

    Commerce/Law Dilemma

Do you want to do law? or just because you have the marks? My suggestion is to do a straight Commerce degree first, and take some commercial law/business law subjects (as required by CA/CPA if you major in accounting anyway) and see if law is for you. Then do grad law if you have a serious...

    When does Uni start?

Yeah kinda sux cause UNSW has the longest semester

    UTS vs. UNSW

I wouldn't judge the study of law at uni based on tv shows and HSC business studies experience, its much more complex, difficult and time consuming than you may think. However, if you major in accounting, you'll almost certainly complete a minor in Business Law, so that should give you...

WOrk Load of DOuble Degree e.g. BCom/BSci VS a Single Degree BCom

In a nutshell, a double degree isn't double the workload, its just 'almost' double the time at uni (ie 5 yrs instead of 3 yrs)
  17. Minai

When do we choose our major/s?

It'd help if you knew roughly what you wanted to do, because each semester you have a free elective, and it would be wise to choose subjects for that major as your electives
  18. Minai

    Helpppp!!! Regarding accounting!

Did you do any high school business studies? It's a bit like that at first. It's not really number crunching for 3 years, maybe only for first semester, first year. Accounting essentially involves subjects that cover business management, stakeholder value, corporate financial analysis and real...

    why unsw commerce?

If specialisation is what you want, then stick with UNSW Com/Sci, its very focused, compared with Com(Lib)
