    Death to skills

thisnameistaken - You did your HSC in 1998?

Can anyone help me with these physics questions thanks?

This sort of stuff is really quite basic, especially the first few questions. You need to study up. I'll give some hints for the first two: 1) KE = 1/2mv^2 2) W = Fs, that is, work = force * displacement. The rest... the formatting is so bad that I can't even see it properly. Try editing your...

    Death to skills

Uhh... what? Skills are much easier than short response/long response essays, and are multiple choice. They're the easiest part of any geography exam, and it's all basic knowledge. Ever wondered why we don't learn any new skills in Y11-12 geography, only recapping on ones from 7-10?

Nup, as you can see from my sig, I'm in prelim - year 11.

Is it more effective to study with someone than studying alone?

Where did I say I was attending ADFA right now? Being accepted assuming that the required ATAR is gained and actually attending are two totally different things. Like you noticed - i'm in prelim year, so it's pretty darn obvious that i'm not at ADFA.

    Business or Society?

Keep whichever you enjoy more, or whichever you're doing better in.

Is it more effective to study with someone than studying alone?

Last Wednesday I studied in the library for 3 hours alone, and it has to have been one of the most productive days i've ever had when it comes to study.

Of course I've flown, I have a PPL and I'm working on an aerobatic endorsement rating.

    Msn addicts -.-

I dunno, there's no way we can tell/help you to concentrate. You know that the problem is MSN... so just regulate yourself/delete the damn thing altogether. You could even study while on MSN - MSN doesn't exactly take much concentration. Just have the books in front of you, and every 5 minutes...

    business drop?

Free periods are a bludge for some, and others get a lot of work done in them. In year 11, I normally bludge them, sometimes I do homework, and sometimes test revision, but in year 12, everyone I know is going to be using them for study time. They're very valuable.

    Failing year 11.

If you dont understand Chem work, even when trying to learn by just sitting down and reading the textbook, then you should probably consider a tutor - even if it's an infrequent thing.

    Please help!!!!!!!!

@zazzy1234 - I wasn't having a go at you in my last post, just giving some friendly advice. How the fuck can you not see that if your spelling and grammar were better, you'd be taken more seriously?
  14. TheStallion

    Please help!!!!!!!!

Your english and grammar is so shit that you even worded the topic badly. Try to tell us more, like what subject it's for, and actually word the topic/question properly. Then you'll get a decent response.

What's wrong with the Halo series

Around the Katoomba area. Not in Katoomba... but near.

    Game Development

Am I the only person who's into game development/programming? Sure, there's a lot of people who probably do SDD, but anyone who does it outside school, or anyone who even earns some cash from it? If so, link us to your website/tell us about the game which you're currently developing, and what...

What's wrong with the Halo series

A lot of people rip on the games just to be different, so really like you said - just because the games are popular. It's the same with everything - courts ripping on Microsoft just because they're the biggest company, even though millions of other companies violate the same acts that Microsoft...

    maths argh.......

    Yep.
  19. TheStallion

    maths argh.......

Yeah, my bad, it is assumed knowledge. The only degrees which require it are at ADFA, and that's only when you apply for a position such as Pilot. So yeah, you can drop to general now and take a bridging course after the HSC if you wish.
  20. TheStallion

    maths argh.......

For those of us who do 2U maths or extension maths, general maths would be piss easy, and most 2U/extension people would get 95+. The difficulty/workload gap between general and 2U alone is HUGE.
