    Senior Geography Project

Did the speech for mine a few weeks ago and ripped it. I felt that I spoke well with perfect eye contact/good use of colloquial language, so I reckon... 22/25 for the speech and 65/75 on report. I'll find out next week sometime... hopefully.

    N award wtf

How the hell can you get an N award for Catholic Studies? I put about an hour into the two assignments for prelim (an hour each), and topped the year in it. =\

    Would u still do English

    I'd definitely do it.

rate the library at your school

Librarian - Annoying and doesn't stfu, continuously checks to make sure people are doing schoolwork - 0/10. Books - Eh, bit too much of a focus on religion and history for my liking - 4/10. Computers - About 30 macbooks (as much as I hate macs) and about 20 PC's. Pretty decent, most of the time...

which branch of engineering is good?

How the fuck can you be doing so well in stuff like 3u/4u maths, but be a total fucking idiot at stuff as simple as this. I swear half the people with marks in their sig fake them.
  6. TheStallion

    Didn't Do Maths!

Yeah you can drop 2 and pick 1 up, as long as you still have at least 10 units.

    Fav/Worst Airport

Favourite overall for travel: Amsterdam, Sydney. My favourite overall for flying is Bankstown. Traffic isn't anywhere near as bad as people think, the only slight problem is not enough run-up bays outside 11L.

    i have a career question!!!!

Well, all caps means you're shouting. Shouting = retarded. Fucking annoying spam also gets you nowhere. Try using proper grammar, punctuation, and spelling, and you'll get a more serious response, rather than shit from people like me. This info is all over the internet anyway, a simple search...

    Adfc????

The offices at Cadets are only open at the same time that the squadron parades. So, if Cadets is from 1800-2130 on a Monday, their office will only be open those hours, on that specific day. Find out the times of the squadron that you're applying to join, and ring during that time.

    Software, Business or Engineering.

People have such mixed feelings about SDD. For me, it's an easy subject and a great UAI booster, which I enjoy, while many others that i've seen on both BOS and in my class hate it. Just pick whatever you enjoy the most, all three are great subjects.

    ADF Gap Year

I only just make the cut for the BMI, coming in at around 19. Luckily I was between the correct weights for the operation of ejection seats, or I might have been rejected. =O But yeah, like everyone else, just get fit. All through Year 12, I'm hoping to do a lot of working out, to really get my...

    Didn't Do Maths!

I think taking a bridging course is the way to go. You will find it pretty tough if you get into a course for Engineering, but at least once you get in and have the knowledge of maths from the bridging course, you'll be able to improve. :) By the way - after year 11 prelims at our school, we...

    Didn't Do Maths!

Without any maths, you can really rule out anything todo with engineering/aviation. No maths = extremely limited opportunities in the realm of sciences.

    ADF Gap Year

When it comes to weight, you need to have a BMI between 18.5 and 30 (it's either 30 or 33). Anything outside that range means you're not medically fit for service, and you won't be allowed in. Take a look at the BMI calculator on the DFR website.

    ADF Gap Year

Ah darn, age is always a bitch. But yeah, the laptop is like you said, only for a small minority of the people. I think 120 education awards are handed out, so 10% of them might get the laptop. Hopefully FSP results get taken into account... Our school has gone crazy with iPhone's, I'm glad...

    prelim yearly exams

Finally started making notes for upcoming tests, which I'll also conveniently be able to use for the prelims. *sighs and gets back to shit-boring functions/calculus*

    Passing Prelims to do HSC

You can fail everything and still go on to do the HSC. If you really did fail that badly though, you probably wouldn't go on, and the school would advise you just to leave. ;) This is just at my school though, other schools might have higher expectations.

    ADF Gap Year

@sikhman - Did you get the ADFA Education Award? From the sounds of things, i'll be getting it next year. If you got it - hows the laptop, and how did they present it to you? ;)
  19. TheStallion

    dropping hsc

It doesn't matter what other people think of her, it's how she performs when the exams come around. If she can knuckle down and get some serious study in, she'll do fine. She's working for herself, not for the appreciation of anyone else. :) Anyway, if she's doing her HSC this year... it's just...

    ADF Gap Year

What online tests? The stupid practice aptitude test things where you stack the blocks? If so, they're totally unrelated to the real tests. I failed those ones on the site miserably, but passed all the RAAF ones right through to after the board, so yeah, they mean nothing. :)
