How did I get accepted to ADFA? Just like everyone else I suppose, I went through the whole process, but also the FSP (fairly simple for me since I was already a private pilot). Sometimes I regret not going DEO, but oh well, a degree will pay off in the long run. The Undergraduate program would...

    The Coles Thread

I haven't the slightest idea where mine is... did I even get one? How much is the discount, 5%? But just ask your manager for a replacement, should be easy enough to get a new one, but they might charge you a few bucks for it.

    ADFA- Officer Selection Boards

I suppose that's fair enough, but in all fairness, the YOU session testing was a joke. Having said that - you're right, I suppose the jobs and their selection processes differ. And yeah, study absolutely everything relating to your job, as well as making sure that you have some formulated...

    photography as a uai subject?

    It doesn't count.

    [IMPORTANT] i think i have a problem

What the fuck? Anyway, OP - pretty obvious that you're trolling, how the fuck could you not wake up during that? And why the hell would you ask on BoS for help, it's pretty damn obvious what you'd do in a situation like that.

    cadets is fucked

If that's true she clearly has a depression/mental problem and should seek help. @Snowfox - I'm not sure if it would be wise to actually mention the specific unit, but I'll leave that choice to the OP.

Going to USMA would be bloody awesome, but extremely tough. And I agree - the majors at ADFA for B.Bus and B.Arts are quite limited, although they do have what I want to major in, so it's not so bad.

Who is going to tutor kids after year 12??

Pretty sure that all of yr 12 in our school failed the trial HSC this year. JJ is a pretty good marker, he's just a shit teacher, so if people don't come into the subject with a background knowledge of programming, then they're fucked, since he won't explain it properly to them. Luckily for me -...

    Future Plans (UAI/Uni/Tafe/Job)

Re: What UAI&Course are you aiming for? Any degree at ADFA, so an ATAR of 70 is my minimum, but getting an ATAR of 80 to do B.Tech(Avn) would be nice.

re: Preliminary Yearlies Discussion Thread Starting in week 9, hell yeah. Plenty of time to do some study.

Who is going to tutor kids after year 12??

Probably with SDD, since so many people struggle with it/hate it, and i'm sitting on a cool 97%.

    ADFA- Officer Selection Boards

Hehe, a very good pointer. I'll tell you something my careers advisor told me when I went for it - he might have been wrong, but it seemed to make sense, and so I did it. He basically said that during the break times, you shouldn't be the guy sitting in the corner reading the paper - you should...

    ADFA- Officer Selection Boards

OSB's are tough, especially if you have them the day after FSP finishes. The main advice I can give i'll give in points. 1 - When asked maths questions by the interviewers, do the working out loud. So, if they said "what is 10 multiplied by 120", you'd say something like "well, 10x12 is 120...

    How to study for english?

You're so smart, you ask the question the night before the exam. Even if you got a fast response before the damn exam, you'd be cramming like hell. Lrn2study. Having said that, you have the same texts as me, apart from the Six Degrees of Seperation. ;)

    Beep Test...

Got around 11-12 back in year 7. Haven't done it since (apart from a few fitness tests, but they stop the tape when you reach the pass mark), but I reckon I could do about 14-15 now.
