Basically - the SC is easy. And yes, you can fail. You get given a band, 1 through 6, for each subject. I think its band 3 and below (including band 3) is a fail.

No... you don't get 45% for writing your name, and I'm certain - I know somebody who got a band 2 in maths for the SC. It is easy to say it was easy and useless, and that's because it is.

For a 14 year old, it would be a piece of shit, like 6-7 dollars. 15 year old, probably somewhere between 7 and 9.

Definitely try for USMA... sometimes I wish that I did. As for a running training program - I really don't have a set one. I try to work on core strength a bit, but running is something which I hardly do. The only running I do is playing sports and walking about 3km to/from the bus stop each...

You need to have some form of leadership for application into the ADF as an officer, full stop. SRC will look great, but the Education Award is really based on your interview and aptitude test scores. I'm fairly confident that i'll get the award, and i'm not on any SRC stuff.

Seconded, I got all mid-high band 5's without any work at all - apart from a bit of study for history on aboriginal and women's rights... but nobody gives a shit about them anyway.

There's already a thread for prelim exams, but really, prelim exams are nothing compared to the amount of work we'll be doing studying for tests/assessments in year 12, so the onslaught of work is really only just starting.
