Thanks for that Aplus. But how on earth do people fit in homework and assessment tasks?

It's easy to say things like "I'm going to study 5 hours+ everyday for the HSC" but when the time actually comes, it's a whole different story.

Re: What is your study routine?

I don't exactly have a daily/weekly study routine coz I kinda like taking things as they come, but I do find multi-tasking whilst studying pretty effective like listening to music, watching tv, chatting or even while eating. Mind maps are also great for brainstorming or sorting ideas. If you can't find study notes then try making your own by using definitions and summaries.

Hope that helps :)

Since it's only three days into the school, what are you guys studying for atm? Should I be going over my prelim stuff or should I start reading ahead to anticipate future topics?

Homework then just read over what I'd learnt in the day.

Re: What is your study routine?

reading ahead and learning myself through a few textbooks and different secondary sources, i hav set times when to study and also free time too, so i can play. This limits time wasting which enables an optimum working environment with no distractions.

Well, I'm not really unsure about my prelim but I thought it would have been good to have a refresher.

Re: What is your study routine?

Home, books out 5 mins, begin study, have dinner while studying. 4 minute 7 seconds shower. Study more until 11:59 30 seconds. Begin sleep 12, finish at 6am. Study for another hour and then go to school. To this every single day.

Wow you work till 2/3 am - no wonder you come home at sleep for 2.5 hrs every day. Aren't you really tired through the day as you're not sleeping when you're supposed to be sleeping.

I do 4 blocks of 45 min study times on my subjects with 10 minutes rest between =D.

Re: study timetable

lol at timothy
Wish I could do that :(

Mine's just.. I go library after school
4:30 Arrive at library, sleep 'til 5ish
Study until 10 with maybe a 10 minute break or two in between
That's on weekdays
On Saturday, I just study freely (up to a minimum of 5 hours)
On Sunday, Tuesday and Wednesday, I have tuition for 3 hours each(2 1/2 hours on Sunday) -> On Wednesday and Sunday I go through what I learnt and do some homework for a few hours
On Tuesday I study for a few hours after tuition

The 5 hours study does NOT count homework from school by the way
It DOES count homework from my tuition though, 'cause that's just hectic ==;;

Re: What is your study routine?

get home,
eat food+ relax=30mins
all homework=various. but normally around 1.5hrs
dinner
study=2.5hrs a day (each 1u subject=30mins, so around 2 subjects a day, rotating throughout the week)
sleep at around 11pm

if any assignments, it eats into my study time

weekends are basically reserved for tution lol, saturday 6hrs and sunday 3 hrs, but still fit in homework and study time
