ooh how do you structure your essay usuallymeeee
ahh no that's so frustrating !!I feel like since this year is evil they will possibly ask 2
basically 2 debates, with positive and negative views + the historians who taught certain ways abt her because of her context!ooh how do you structure your essay usually
would you consider 4 paragraphs?basically 2 debates, with positive and negative views + the historians who taught certain ways abt her because of her context!
yes! my teacher said it's okay, but just be careful to not spend too long on it, only use it briefly and only if it is 100% relevantalso another question but ive seen an essay that brings up a case study in q1... are we allowed to do this?
they probably can cause they explicitly say that you have to do 3 - but i doubt they willare they allowed to ask for 3 areas of debate in case study?
of course, that is actually idealalso another question but ive seen an essay that brings up a case study in q1... are we allowed to do this?
i feel like its going to be one debate, MAYBE two, but i doubt there will be a required 3. my teachers said that they would have to deal with so many arguments from teachersdo u guys think its only going to say 1 debate or multiple
the section 1 was a bit cooked and i didn't love section 2 either but it wasn't TOO badHow did we find that guys?
It's about historiography so the study of history as opposed to specific events. Think like what does history achieve and why, what can history be used for, what is the purpose of history and what should the purpose be. We do a unit on constructing history which looks at history over time, it's purpose, and different philosophies, things like that, and then we also do a case study on historiographical issues surrounding an event or policy or whatever else (we did appeasement) and study the debates surrounding it. The exam is 2 essays, one on the first part and one on the secondguys please enlighten a curious individual - how does history extension work? I know you guys have a major work/project thing, but what is all this about case studies? what is the exam actually on?
Yeah the question was a bit weird for section one but I actually really liked the source so fingers crossed. Section 2 could've been better but I made a decent argument I thinkthe section 1 was a bit cooked and i didn't love section 2 either but it wasn't TOO bad
ooh that's pretty cool! it sounds funIt's about historiography so the study of history as opposed to specific events. Yeah it is pretty fun!ooh that's pretty cool! it sounds funand scarily broad though, if y'all are all doing different like historians and stuff, idk I'd get so scared my examples wouldn't fit the q - sounds like y'all handled it supremely though!
what did you argue for source A?Yeah the question was a bit weird for section one but I actually really liked the source so fingers crossed. Section 2 could've been better but I made a decent argument I think
I eventually got to that he condemned the misuse of history for purely nationalistic purposes and also expressed that history should seek to tell the 'truth' whatever that may be. But I also said he was nuanced in his ideas so that made his interpretation more valuable. Thinking back on it my argument kind of declined as I kept writing but that's okaywhat did you argue for source A?
