also, I've always wondered how the markers mark our essays if they haven't done our texts. like do they just look for connections to the q and conceptual looking analysis around our elective topic?

literallyi try not to look at it lmao i feel like i know nothing compared to these ppl
Lowkey you could just fake/significantly alter your related text quotes lol. I didn't alter any of mine because I did Inception (the film) which I'm pretty sure the markers would've watched and then a Murakami book because my teacher is a Murakami fanatic and probably has every work of his entirely memorised. I think they really just look for the depth of your analysis, yeah connection to the question and kind of take your word for the narrative (although there's nothing stopping them from googling a plot summary or something to help them get an idea for your text).also, I've always wondered how the markers mark our essays if they haven't done our texts. like do they just look for connections to the q and conceptual looking analysis around our elective topic?

Lowkey isnt it better to choose a niche text? The markers would have to give some form of leeway when marking because they can't really go 'I disagree with that' with a text they never interacted with. Comparatively, isn't there a higher possibility of that occurring with popular related texts? E.g. The schindler's list in WOU.yeah i was just wondering cause i've literally never seen someone else do my related text
same!! i feel like the predictions are no help... so uncertainty...slightly concerned for s1, but mostly chill
SAMEZ! ps. i love joji too!! i used to be so obsessed ahahahi fear its over for me![]()
fr fr also pivot from topic but did you change your atar goal??same!! i feel like the predictions are no help... so uncertainty...
haha no? :3fr fr also pivot from topic but did you change your atar goal??
this!! i definitley think it's advantageous to do a niche text esp for smth like WOU, i had to work up the courage to do it, but when i did a 2006 collection of poetry by Ariane Reines about cattle rendering (LOL) my essay got 24/25 :3Lowkey isnt it better to choose a niche text? I always do s2 first and make sure to have finished the final major paragraph before the hour. So 1hr for each, although I agree that a more sustainable response should have time spent more on s1.I'm curious as to how everyone splits the time between each section? I feel like section 1 needs more. Like maybe 1hr and 15mins
The NESA website says, "The question will require a sustained critical response based on the candidate’s prescribed texts and related texts." So I don't think so because the "prescribed texts" is plural. Additionally, I don't think they will ever ask for 2 related texts despite the syllabus, because that would just be a PR and results disaster. If they do, though, my teacher has always said to just use a song.do you think they would ask for s2 for u to use 1 prescribed text and 2 related text?
omg i would cry if that was a creative. it fits my story so wellI feel like they might ask something for s1 on 'public' and 'private' worlds like it's in the rubric and they've never asked something on that before.
