From the combustion of hydrocarbons, I had a thought of how energy is released. Now, in combustion of hydrocarbons, you need to break bonds. This process requires an activation energy. As an example, I will model the use of Octane. 2C_8H_18_{(g)} + 25O_{2(g)} \rightarrow 16CO_2_{(g)} +...

Interesting. EDIT: So they thought of the idea, but no-one actual made it. Would you say that adding more rotor's would be more efficient than adding more pistons?

Nah. 10 hours. I had already done the study. All I needed was to re-jog my memory of the things to remember and to keep practising. That's why you do 50+ hours each week the month before, preventing the need to cram a whole day in.

Low heat of combustion= needing more of the substance to produce energy?

Yeah this too. When the water and carbon dioxide form, there is an overall increase in the energy released, in comparison to the bonds breaking in a hydrocarbon. I'll start a new discussion in the extra curricular thread.

Oh I thought there were a few Furai's. Nm. 13b is dual rotary though. Did he fit two of them? ----------- Rotary's may die soon though: http://www.rotaryresurrection.com/3rdgen/tech_housing_wear_guide.html And Mazda has stopped production on the RX series. So its either DIY or no more...

Strange things about 2013 HSC results

I think OP does not understand the concept of an ATAR being derived from an aggregate.

Thanks. Hopefully it stays the same for you. If it is raised, try going for the normal Mechanical (iirc 85 was the cut-off last year).

Low heat of combustion= needing more of the substance to produce energy?

Yes. The reaction is explosive and increases pressure in a chamber.

I think I posted up the 92CP with a glimpse of the 787B before. I don't think the Furai I posted above was the one top gear burnt though. RIP. EDIT: Are there any other 4 Rotor engines out there?

    Should I drop ext2?

Don't drop. Our school is ranked much lower than yours and the lowest HSC mark was 84. To get faster, you just need to practice. Also, the final exam is 3 hours. You will find that after time you will get faster. It used to take me 3 or 4 hours to do just one Terry Lee exercise, trying to...
