    Physics scores being very low?

Wait for your ATAR first and if you are in the clear then you should be all good.

    Atar Equivalents

How motivated a student is to do well with their degree, whether the student enjoys the courses they are doing each semester, whether the student is more or less active in university life, whether the student actually studies in an efficient manner for the appropriate course or not, whether the...

    Physics scores being very low?

Just be a bit careful there. I had a HSC marker teacher for English telling me I would get a Band 6 after exams were over. I ended up with a high Band 4 instead lol. However, do indeed get a results check if you think there may have been a problem with it clerically. By this, if you got say 10...

    Physics scores being very low?

I thought that was his tutored student though? Ok this is getting really weird now regardless. Going to check where the Band 6's are (which school's) once the sortable excel file is of reach.

    Physics scores being very low?

It's not easy to compare with low ranking schools however. We had 3 Band 6's in Physics last year and that was the first time there was at least one Band 6 in Physics since 2008-ish at my school. Yeah probably need to know about his tutored kids to compare here as I have no idea how his school...

    Atar Equivalents

Really its not a thing that can be compared relatively just like that. I have friends who got 98+ ATARs getting 80-90 WAMs for first year Engineering. But that's just a small bunch of 5 to 10 students. Really, you can have 99+ ATAR students getting a 70 WAM, and 90+ ATAR students getting 90...

    Physics scores being very low?

Exactly (I know a few from aDim's school from 2013 cohort). As Dr. Branislav would say at UNSW for 1111 "The arts students". I'm tipping the marking was odd this year and possibly that the aligning was odd (like you said) if anything did go wrong in the first place. EDIT: Fizzy, where you...

    Physics scores being very low?

Yeah ikr. Last year you guys had like 10 Band 6's. I remember looking at the paper. It didn't seem too bad though. I would think at least 8% would have gotten a Band 6.

    Physics scores being very low?

Strange though because your school did really well last year for Physics.

    Physics scores being very low?

The best way to figure this out is to wait for the percentage given for performance band descriptors. Will take a while for them to be released (took a few months last year unfortunately). Last year approximately 9.22% of the cohort got a Band 6 in HSC Physics...

Recheck is done through my services within students online iirc.

Please help, PDHPE HSC EXAM MARK!!!

Sorry there's two different situations in here and I got really confused then and replied to a different situation (my bad). First of all, the mark of 91 means absolutely nothing relatively. It could still lead to a moderated assessment mark of 20 or 100. As I said before, all that matters is...

Please help, PDHPE HSC EXAM MARK!!!

If you wanted to look at it that way then you could say you didn't perform as well as you wanted to. Your cohort did not affect you at all here as you got the highest exam mark and you were ranked first.

Please help, PDHPE HSC EXAM MARK!!!

You said it yourself here: You were first. First place ranked always gets their moderated assessment mark to be the highest exam mark of their cohort. The highest exam mark in your cohort was 86. As a result this was your moderated assessment mark as well. So your HSC mark was 86.

Well aren't I in aggregate demand :P If you think they need to read it, then probably just link them to it.

UNSW Coop 2014 + general questions

Wait until you get your exam marks. Completely ahead of time there. As you get older, you have more priority for time matters at UNSW (for example, usually you get to make your timetable a few days earlier then the lower year students, etc).

Engineering what topics to focus on for engineering

Well typically you can do fine in first year with only MX1 knowledge. However to get the edge and build your mathematical skillset, it's best to have MX2 knowledge.

Chem Engineering Coop vs Actuarial studies at UNSW

Re: Chemical engineering UNSW CoOp Scholarship vs Actuarial Studies at UNSW Hi, I was in a similar situation last year. I received a small scholarship (nothing like co-op though) for Materials Science/Chemical Engineering but declined to do Electrical. I guess in the end my decision was based...
