CARS & RIDES & Mighty Car Mods

re: CARS & RIDES & Mighty Car Mods You can run really rich with an ignition cut and that's what happened there. However, you would want a combination of both (moreso an ignition cut). Also if ETC is used, you can have ignition, air and fuel all limited, which would be ideal.

Can I do third year courses yet?

Contact the school. They may have lenient enrollment to that course or it might be strictly based. I know in EET they are quite lenient on a few things provided you can bring up the marks to prove you are capable and will at least do pre-requisites as a co-requisite instead.

re: CARS & RIDES & Mighty Car Mods If you wanted a new drivetrain, may as well build a whole new car from scratch.

re: CARS & RIDES & Mighty Car Mods Depends on the current system. FWD to RWD is quite a large job and I would say in excess of $4000 at the least just for material and manufacturing if you look at wreckers and old, usable parts (assuming you were to build it yourself). However, this is just...

Re: Cars Believe me you can fit a lot into a tight engine bay. Just have to route everything properly. However, it's a lot more prone to problems. (this was in response to the MX5 with the big engine in it)

Re: Cars Something that is a bit lower on the maintenance side is certain European cars. However these maintenance costs can be quite large when they come around.

Craziest/random/wierd things that you have seen happen at school?

Casual teacher threw a chair at a kid in primary because the kid made the casual teacher for that day so annoyed lol. Only heard it but never actually saw it. I'm guessing it was true though because I heard it from the kid that had the chair thrown at him and the casual never came back for a...

Re: Cars Either new engine or "typo". Note "typo" as they are falsely advertising. Looking at the photo, it is 237807 km. Also, what crappy parking. It's on the middle of the street. Also, the tuning for handling might be quite different. European cars I would suspect (not too sure though)...

Re: Cars I've had no experience with them, but now I'm keen to find an engine and have a good look at it. Yes, however the hardest thing to rebuild is a chassis. If your chassis is in pieces, you basically have nowhere to start.

    Hertz's Experiment

Tbf it's an RLC circuit with resonance voltage rise coming into play. Russian-Lithuanian-Canadian? Also the change in flux is referring to an inductor, which isn't covered in HSC.

Re: Cars You could if you wanted to but really the chassis might not fit for it (worth an inspection first). If the chassis isn't in a bad shape, it would be fine. However, I wouldn't trust that chassis unless I tested or inspected it first to see how bad the rust is.

Re: Cars The wiring on it is pretty bad. It's been crimped way too many times in patch jobs. If anyone was to get that, I'd want to take out all the wiring and re-wire the car from scratch. Would require at least $800 of wiring, connectors and insulation/heat tape/heat shrink. Also would...

Where is the school dux now?

This. I'm pretty sure my old HS teachers and HS mates would want to see where I am in 10 years time rather than now.
