    2nd Year Student questions

    I suggest trying to do a bachelor's in engineering science first then a masters afterwards if you want. Contact the school of elec at UNSW. What are your motives towards getting a masters in electrical if you haven't done a bachelors in electrical? If you really want to study elec, then you...

    I remember it being called applied maths and english studies. But yeah there are few non-atar subjects. Perfectly fine.

    UNSW chit chat thread

    Re: UNSW chit chat thread 2016 It could be your application but also there is the issue with some societies where they consider contacts and people you know. I suggest getting involved in other societies where there is more of a purpose and getting roles isn't a popularity contest. And Doust...

    The school you went to isn't used for any calculation. You ranking within your cohort (your class at school) makes a difference.

    Everyone has a different situation. Can't grasp a full understanding of their situation unless you know them personally. This extends beyond the scope of what school a student went to. It even extends beyond the scope of what marks they attained.

    2nd Year Student questions

    It's a bad idea because you've missed so much content and don't have the knowledge for an appropriate electrical thesis and/or project for a masters. Your jump is equivalent to a year 9 student with only basic year 9 knowledge jumping to the final HSC year for 10 units or more. Depends on what...

    2nd Year Student questions

    I don't think going into a masters of electrical is a good idea without having a bachelors in electrical. Even having a bachelors in computer engineering wouldn't really suffice in my opinion. Study electrical from scratch and get up to date with the engineering science in electrical. Then go...

    I failed my DKT, how long do I need to wait?

    Bruh when I did my DKT some girl failed as soon as I sat down and got her mum to pay for another DKT that she sat straight away again. That distraction is why it took me 4 minutes to finish mine instead of 3 minutes.

    Partner interview tips?

    I've never had a partner interview before but I would assume it would be more behavioural. Might be helpful https://www6.cityu.edu.hk/caio/Website/Big4/Big4_Interviews.pdf Good luck!

    Do you need that particular generator? You could look around for similar ones which have the same specifications.

    Elec1601 and Elec3206

    Surely it doesn't matter unless you know what equipment you are using right? If it's a power supply or signal generator or oscilloscope there are generally a few common things between different models. If you remember a specific brand then that could help. In regards to experiments, you could...

    Limit as x->2

    Yeah Matlab gave me the same results after I thought I was stuffing up and kept getting infinity using different methods.

    If you need help understanding something feel free to make a thread or pm me (I don't go to USyd so I can't give you any notes). There are other electrical engineering students on these forums.

    Limit as x->2

    Either the question is wrong or you read the question wrong. It should be \lim_{x \to \infty} \frac{x^2 - 4}{x-2}
