i think they mark the MWs twice if there's a huge difference between both marks the head marker person takes a look at it and i suppose it's marked another few times

lol! i'd love to see a herd of markers burst into a room and scramble over all our MW but i think they do mark by school or else some markers may get their own schools... and i'll be damned if the rest of you are getting more marks just 'cause your teachers can be bothered with marking for more...

i'm doing a "collection" of short stories (as my eng coordinator likes to say) mainly cause it's easy to stick to the word count, and because my ideas are so all over the place but at the rate it's going i'll end up with about eight of these things and people told me it was hard to stay...

i would think it would be better to ask a teacher if you specifically could do poetry and give 'em a sample... you might be a diamond in the rough or something of the like so it's no good listening to their generalisations and thinking you can give up right there
