Transfer from Macquarie to Unsw Law

I would say at least a 78 plus WAM, but minimum 75 WAM. And just to note, they only would look at marks, it doesn't matter how your grade went in their assessments, because overall marks will all be bell-curved in the end.

    Criminal law - offence classification

Have a look at Section 45 of the Crimes Act (Vic) in relation to indecent assault of a child under the age of 16, and the relevant amendments in the Crimes (Sexual Offences) Act 2006 Section 10. Hope that helps.

    Honours

I still cannot comprehend how 10% of people could have a Law WAM of over 80 for their entire law degree. Seems like an awful lot (least 40 if u count that 400 in a grade approx.)

Com/Law at MQ -vs- Com & Grad Law at USyd/UNSW

I think your best option would be to try your best in Commerce for the first year, and go for the transfer at the end of your first year. Should you fail to do so, then just finish off the degree (possibly consider honours?) and then enrol in grad law, if at that time, you still feel it's...

No I think you just get one at the end of the five years where you receive both at the same time.

    Law degree workload

So Top tier firms not only require you to perform well in these commercial law subjects but also achieve an overall distinction average. Is that correct?

    Law degree workload

Is it true that top tier place more emphasis on 2nd and 3rd year subjects rather than the 1st year? It would seem illogical if one was to be ruled out of top tier for getting a poor mark in foundations or torts.

    UAC scale uni marks?

hmm... i am interested how they actually do that? like converting a different scale to the standard Usyd & UNSW method of grading.

    Tax accountant/ tax lawyer

I would imagine that a tax lawyer would deal with the litigation side of things while a tax accountant deals primarily with numbers. Correct me if I am wrong as it is an area which I am keen to explore further.

    BCom/LLB - Career paths & popularity

Re: BComm/LLB On a side note, I was wondering why many high achieving VCE graduates choose UoM over Monash and whether the two Melbourne schools' reputations are parallel to their counterparts in Sydney (USyd & UNSW), because from memory, the schools cutoffs are quite similar.

    B commerce/law VS B commerce (international)

you can always do arts/law and study a language as your major. and com/law does not stop you from doing an exchange program, so I guess this is a second vote for law. No bias of course...
