Unfortunately child prostitution quite common in Asian countries.

Anyway I thought about the 495.4 thing, and it might be Alex Borowsky who got four state rankings last year (100% in all of them.)
Advanced: 100/100 1st in state
Extension: 50/50 2nd
Extension II: 50/50 1st
Ancient History: 100/100 3rd
She also did accelerated 4U maths so I'm guessing she got...
Our science staff... :evilfire::evilfire:
I was comparing ours to Ruse and found Ruse to be so much more dedicated to the education of their kids. For one, they did not recycle past papers, and thus they could just give back test papers so kids could download them from the school server along...
Actually yeah that's kinda true. I used to get so pissed off at chemistry because of this. Like I'd describe a battery right, to the point where I think I've gotten full marks. BUT NO I FIND THAT YOU HAD TO STATE THAT IT'S ABOUT CONVERTING POTENTIAL TO ELECTRICAL ENERGY TO GET THAT EXTRA 0.5...
dp, don't you think the sciences are SO rote-learned based these days that you'll do well if you spent heaps long on learning the content? As opposed to 4U or even 3U maths where you need some brain extension.
I definitely think that talent is required to get state ranks though. Does the fact...
But I thought it was kinda exponential. Because think about it this way: a 93 in advanced goes to 89; a 94 goes to 92.6; a 95 goes to around 95. Seems to suggest that it's not linear?
Just checked. 97 in chem would go to 97. 97 in physics would go to around 97 too.
Is it just me or does every subject seem to have somewhat of a threshold, whereby if you exceed this mark every mark you get would count as one aggregate point?
My friend got 97/100 in legal studies (6th in...
Laurie's aggregate was reported to be 497. :|
What about Amelia Joy Thompson, who went to Ruse?
I reckon her aggregate would be around 495 too. She topped like a zillion subjects (distinction courses, advanced English... top five for like bio, 2U maths, chem etc).
He also got 99 in latin continuers. Honestly I don't think he lost more than 5 aggregate points.
French Extension 49/50 --> scaled to around 50/50
French Continuers 99/100 --> scaled to around 99
German Extension 49/50 --> scaled to around 50/50
German Continuers 99/100 --> scaled to around 99...
I'm pretty sure the person who got the 495.4 was Michael Forgacs, who did about 2103298 different langauges, and got state rankings in them too (except latin continuers). His lowest mark was modern history (96), and the lowest mark that contributed to his UAI was 97 in advanced. LOL!
