The line y=mx-3 is a tangent to the curve y= x^3 + x^2 with the point P where
x= alpha.
i) Describe the nature of the roots.
Is it the will be a double root at where at the Point P.
ii) Find the roots of this equation and the value of m.
Show that the tangent at the point P(x1,y1) on the general degree 2 curve:
ax^2 + by^2 + 2cxy + 2dx + 2ey + f = 0
is
ax.x1 by.y1 + c(x1.y + x.y1) + d (x + x1) + e(y +y1) + f = 0
This is a monologue that i have been preparing on the Catcher in the Rye for Advanced English.
This is a supposed discussion between Mr. Antolini and Mrs. Antolini which did not occur in ‘The Catcher in the Rye.’ Why did Holden just leave in a hurry? Lillian did you just see that? Was it...
I have been having a dilemma lately. I am finding Extension 1 Maths relatively easy but this is not showing up on my Assessment marks for Extension 1.
If so should i do Extension 2? Any advice will be appreciated.
Is it possible to combine Science and Engineering for a high UAI course?
Example: If i wanted to do Science/Space Engineering which is a UAI of 94.55 when when Space (Mechatronics) Engineering is 98.80.
Is this possible?
Is it because:
Let b=0
Assume b^b=x
b.ln(b)=ln(x)
0.ln(0)=ln(x)
And ln(0) is undefined since x=0 is an asymptote in a natural logarithmic function.
Thus, 0.Undefined=Undefined.
Therefore, 0^0 is undefined.
---I'm just wondering..
I need help with this question....
--For the first question i tried:
(3^x+1 + 3^x-1)/3^x
=(x+1.ln(3) + x-1 ln(3))/ x.ln(3)
=ln(3)(x+1+x-1) / ln(3).x
=2x/x
=2
--For the second question i tried:
625^x+y = 1/5
x+y.ln(625) = ln(1/5)
x+y = -1/4
Thus, y= -(1+4x) /4 ....(1A)
32.2^x = 4^y.....(2)...
I need past papers for Maths 3unit, Physics and Chemistry.
Are there sites where it is possible to get past papers for preliminary HSC from other schools?
If so could someone PM me the links to thesse sites...Thanks in advanc.ed
