    am i the only person who thinks USYD doesnt have a great Engineering faculty?? From wat ive heard unless u want to do arts/law/business, otehr unis such as UNSW and UTS are close to, if not betetr than, USYD in most cases, and even regarding business the otehr unis are just as good. looks...

    Integration by Parts

    what i meant is what i wrote , from what i have heard from my teacher, it is NOT NECESSARY to do that to gain the marks, ie NO, u DO NOT HAVE TO write v',v ',u, u', and all (to spell it out for u even more simply) but thats what ive heard, and it may not be what HSC markers expect - "all we...

    Integration by Parts

    i believe it is not necessary, helps me think it out and see out any mistakes, but yeh when ur dealing with e^x and cos/sin x its pretty easy to integrate by parts

    Integration by Parts

    Its not too bad, but does take a little thinking: Let: int (pi/2 -> 0) (e^x).(cosx) dx = I by parts: u=(e^x) v'= (cosx) u'=(e^x) v= (sinx) that is I = [(e^x)(sinx)] from (pi/2 -> 0) - int (pi/2 -> 0) (e^x).(sinx) dx.......(1) now, consider int (pi/2 ->...

    SOFT subjects (the easy way out) . Your thoughts?

    its OK to do watever subjects ur cool with, but in the end the ppl at UAC do their thing, and the trends show that those who do the harder subjects, and do them well, get rewarded well - that is from past experience, may be different this year (highly unlikely) In any case, u cant do anythin...

    Energy from chemical Reactions. Thanks?

    -2225 kJ/mol That is a very pedestrian question, and if u aint gettin it by this time of the year, uve got work to do - after all u dont even have to use the 'delta h' equation!!!!

    Thoughts on CSSA Physics 2008 Paper

    u luky bastards lol: for us, they interpreted teh amrking criteria as ONE MARK for 2 properties as wave ONE MARK for 2 properties as a particle, ONEMARK for JJ's expt and ONE MARK for the 'assessment' BUT...... we couldnt get a mark for the 'assessing' bit without doing the JJ'S expt...

    How to tell if an Acid/Base is Strong/Weak

    ok, seriously if u aint gettin it by now, u need 2 do a lot of work pH = -log[H+] they will NEVER get u to calculate pH of a weak acid or baser always when calculating pH u must assume IT FULLY IONISES plus, pH is not only affected by how strong/weak teh acid is, BUT ITS...
