    Eurovision 2012.

    Fuck You! They're delightful.
  2. Lentern

    Abortion

Why do people like you think that deliberately misinterpreting someone is clever?
  3. Lentern

    Abortion

You are trivializing an extremely serious issue and frankly it's not clever, it's not funny and it's in appalling taste.

    Eurovision 2012.

I'm not saying it doesn't need to have any structure or skill involved, as evidenced by me giving Montenegro a "2" but it's as much about variety and visual creativity as it is about singing in tune and having good crescendos. For me Israel was the standout and a lot of that had to do with the...

    Eurovision 2012.

Come on its just a bit of fun, it's not as though the general media is bereft of serious musicians, Eurovision is an annual festival of musical frivolity.

    OMG Shutup already!

    Eurovision 2012.

Leave Babushki alone! They were wonderful, kitsch, gimmicky sort of stuff is what Eurovison is all about, as Wogan has said on many times, once you start taking Euorvision seriously it loses all purpose. My friends and I were keeping scores when we watched last night, mine were: Montenegro-2...
  8. Lentern

    Abortion

This is the sort of crass caricaturing you get from miserable little men desperate to maintain the skewed status quo because of their inability to make anything of themselves in a truly fair society.
  9. Lentern

    Abortion

I believe she should receive considerable support from the state of course.
  10. Lentern

Given an ultimatum that could change my future entirely...help?

The great romances in history, Cleopatra and Mark Antony, Josephine and Napoleon, Oscar Wilde and Alfred Douglas, would never have occured in this age of pragmatism and caution. Great Love is about knowing that someone matters more to you than anything else in the world and being willing to...

If they agree then there is no competing claim to consider. Gosh.
  12. Lentern

    Abortion

The word tenuous doesn't seem strong enough.
  13. Lentern

    Abortion

I get the impression you think you've made a point here. I could be wrong.
  14. Lentern

Given an ultimatum that could change my future entirely...help?

Love requires sacrifice I say follow your heart, go to Canberra. Just an image him proposing to you on a sunny autumn afternoon on the banks of lake Burley Griffin, the sun catching the water rippled by a gentle breeze. This is what you'll be throwing away if you don't go.
  15. Lentern

    Abortion

I agree except I'd make it contraception that's compulsory.
  16. Lentern

    Abortion

My personal standpoint is if a woman has an unplanned pregnancy and the man does not desire to be a father he should not be compelled to play any role in the child's life subsequent to conception. If his own values compel him to be part of the child's life that is not the woman's fault.
  17. Lentern

    Abortion

There is some room to argue that a man should be able to get an injunction against an abortion, not much but some, but to suggest a woman should be compelled to have one is disgusting.
  18. Lentern

    Abortion

I don't care for your tone.
  19. Lentern

    Abortion

If you're not going to take this seriously I'll just go and watch Eurovision.
  20. Lentern

    Abortion

That is because you view it through the prism of a man setting out to to maximize his interests and after centuries of patriarchal social conditioning you are lead to believe that these interests should pretty much include all the earth and heaven too.
