Finally bought an inexpensive gaming laptop

Dell Inspiron 15 7559 Core i7-6700HQ 8gb DDR3L GTX 960m 4gb 1TB SSHD 4K touch screen display So far so good. Definitely a lot more powerful than my i5 Surface Pro 4. The lack of SSD definitely feels a bit slower though despite the SSHD so I bought a Samsung 850 SSD m2 on the same day and fitted...

    Tsum Tsum?

I don't play it but it's pretty popular here in Singapore. I usually see people playing it on the train. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Where to buy new laptop battery

depends which make/model but unless it's a very popular/not too old model, you may either need to search online (eg ebay but may be unreliable in quality) or go back to OEM (which will usually be costly).

    Pokemon: Sun & Moon

Looks decent but I don't think I can be bothered to play anymore... I never finished Pokemon X&Y.

MacBook Pro vs ???? (Is there better for uni)?

    First post eh?

MacBook Pro vs ???? (Is there better for uni)?

He means at least once a month you should be using the laptop on the battery, but don't use it up to 20% or less left.

    Cheapest portable hard drive

Keep an eye on OzBargain - when something gets alot of positive votes/comments, it's probably a sign it's a good deal.

MacBook Pro vs ???? (Is there better for uni)?

Fair enough. As long as you like it, it's a beautiful machine and there's a reason why they get great reviews.

MacBook Pro vs ???? (Is there better for uni)?

Guessing you went with the Macbook :) Which one did you get? For other people reading this thread, I also would've considered the Razer Blade Stealth ultrabook which seems competitively priced at around $1500 for an i7 (at least here in Singapore) but this is more gaming oriented since you'd...

Is buying a car worth it in Year 11??

this. And even if you're really into it, unless you're loaded (or have a very generous family member), it's going to take a pretty big dent out of you savings.

MacBook Pro vs ???? (Is there better for uni)?

If you're worried then get 256gb? What do you plan to put on there anyway as 128gb for uni work is more than sufficient - also depends how you listen to music/watch movies/whatever else you plan to use it for. I've moved very much into the cloud because I have great internet speeds and I also...

MacBook Pro vs ???? (Is there better for uni)?

So why a MacBook? This is coming from someone who is an Apple fan (although I am posting this using my Surface Pro). Yes the quality of the devices is great, and yes I do enjoy Mac OS X and it's ease of use/seamless backups/speed/lack of annoying things/etc... but really you need to figure out...

Looking for a laptop case/sleeve, whatever you wanna call it :)

A sleeve won't offer much protection other than from dust/dirt/etc... maybe better off getting a lightweight padded laptop bag if you actually want protection for your laptop.

Is buying a car worth it in Year 11??

Personally I don't think you need a car. Any money or time you think you might save as a result of owning a car could come and backfire when you need to fix things up in the future. Besides, plenty of kids survive without a car and live further than you do I'd imagine so I think you'll be fine...

    Keyboards

Most of the time I'm not just writing reports though but editing other peoples' documents/reports... what slows me down is when Word takes a while to catch up, or something else causes the computer to not be responsive to my typing and I sit there staring blankly at the cursor despite knowing...
