UTS Bachelor of Accounting (Co-op) 2017

In other words the 95 ATAR is a nice to have but not a must have... at least from my experience with BAcc, the ATAR/mark is not the be-all/end-all and the other factors which make you a better fit for the program (and the sponsoring organisations) are what will make or break your offer.

    Laptop Cooling Pads

Poorly designed ones might do that... unless you're plugging it into an external power supply, I'm a bit more careful about what I plug into my devices. I'm actually considering the Cooler Master Ergostand III which is a bit taller (and not as deep) so it might fit better on my desk. It also...

Career focussed at a young age and relationships

Maybe there is no 'good' or 'bad' person.

Career focussed at a young age and relationships

Wait maybe I misinterpreted this but are you saying he gave up some great opportunities and unfortunately things still did not work out at home for him? That's a shame :( I'd also say priorities change as you get older. I used to think it was career or nothing but now I'm a little more balanced.

    Laptop Cooling Pads

I realise nowadays when playing Overwatch my CPU jumps up to around 70-75 degrees celcius whilst GTX960M GPU is circa 62.

    Post your gaming setup

Here's my current #pcmasterrace (with my mid range gaming laptop). Core i7-6700HQ, 16gb ram, GTX960M 4gb, Samsung 850 SSD 250gb / 1TB SSHD. Still using stock Intel wireless and debating if I want to upgrade to take advantage of my very fast internet here. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Career focussed at a young age and relationships

I totally forgot about this article and just happened to see it... it's interesting because I hear my friends being offered decent jobs requiring them to move overseas but the relationships/significant others cause them to think twice and prioritise. Based on my limited sample, I observed the...

New Top Gear (season 23 onwards)

Good points. I actually agree with your remarks, and I reflect and think I did wonder if they were actually going to have any remotely in depth car discussions in their reviews, in their interviews, etc... despite the lameness of the catering joke, on the whole, I think it's not totally bad. It...

How do i concentrate and put more effort and time in school work?

Study somewhere free from distractions and set clear goals/milestones before you indulge in activities (e.g. finish XX papers before surfing net or talking to friends), and music/headphones helps. That being said I used to like studying at Maccas.

New Top Gear (season 23 onwards)

He's just too overenthusiastic... and the tweaks to the setting (e.g. the Mini Cooper, the dirt sections) and the way they do things... it does feel 'same same but different', but I agree, Chris is a bit annoying. We still haven't seen the full ensemble yet, and I sense the move towards a less...

New Top Gear (season 23 onwards)

I have to admit it's not as bad as I thought it would be. Yes it's a little bit forced with some of the new presenters but it's not as bad as say, Top Gear Australia when it launched. They were able to take quite a few elements of the Top Gear series and tweak it a bit such that the presenters...

High paying jobs where lifestyle creep isn't expected?

In all fairness part of the challenge is you may need a degree of it to actually do your job. For example, in many of these careers, eventually it involves an element of salesmanship and relationships - and it's in these moments that it's not just about your technical competence but also your...

I'm still in the honeymoon phase having only played about an hour or so... still feels fresh to me!

    Overwatch - who is playing?

Sigh, I couldn't get the game to work on my laptop last night. The 4K screen caused scaling issues and the cursor was not working properly (i.e. it wasn't hovering over what was the selection). Will try again tonight when I have more time. Hopefully can get good framerates on my laptop, and keen...

    Overwatch - who is playing?

Aren't they all on AWS? K+M vs analogue sticks... not fair. Anyway realised price difference is huge: PC - $39.99 USD for standard (my entry point) - about $54 SGD; Origins is $59.99 USD ($80 SGD) but this is moot as I don't care for the extras PS4 - SGD $90 from the digital store; or if I...

    Overwatch - who is playing?

Just wondering... I can't decide which platform to buy for. The reviews seem good and a lot of coverage online of it (poor Battleborn). PC - best controls and probably best graphics even on my midrange gaming laptop (i7-6700HQ, GTX960m 4gb, 16gb ram) PS4 - most friends on here and hence...

"Bamboo Ceiling": Where are all the asians?

I think what's a more interesting perspective on this topic is the diversity/composition at different levels within organisations.
