My new dilemma when picking a car.

My wife doesn't have her P's which means the new prohibited cars list applies - and we only have one parking spot. Other than the milder GLC250d which is permitted, and the C300 coupe (which is under review), the rest aren't permitted :( :( :( I was so excited by the new CLA45/GLA45 or if...

    Tax return

Unless you have complicated arrangements (e.g. investments, rental property, etc) you might be better off doing it yourself online since it'll be free (although cheap tax agents are available if you've got straightforward tax arrangements).

What is the difference between Business Analyst and Management Consultant

I'd say the simplest differentiation traditionally has been whether they are inwards/internal looking within their own organisation (BA) or external focused for other companies (MC). That being said both titles are very broad now and some large companies have internal MCs, and the traditional...

    Investment banking with engo/commerce > commerce/law?

Re: Investment banking with engo/commerce > commerce/law? Agreed. I'd say demonstrating absolute brilliance in your chosen field gives you far better chances.

    Cadetships 2016

Most firms only confirm a lot closer to the day or they provide a range... even if they had the anticipated dates set, it can still change anyway.

    Cadetships 2016

Whilst everyone will have different experiences, at least for me, most people move on from pure audit (which itself is a specialisation of accounting) into other more forward looking roles e.g. risk management, transactions, consulting, etc

    Pokemon Go

How is there not a Pokemon Go thread yet?

IQ and EQ are not enough

Interesting article. I'd heard the term GRIT at work before as well. It's basically another way of saying endurance because not everything is smooth sailing and I agree, you need that. I always saw it more as a personality trait though but it doesn't change the underlying message of the article.

    Cadetships 2016

"Better" is really dependent on what criteria you're considering, and even then, it will vary from firm to firm (and office/location). e.g. some service lines may pay better at junior levels, some service lines may have broader clients, some have better exit or international opportunities, etc...

    Cadetships 2016

As mentioned above, I don't think you can really 'rank the service lines- it's not like there's a best and worst as it depends on a multitude of factors, and even then, there are things like industry specialisations, market positioning of each firm, location, etc which all comes into play. As...

    Steam Summer Sale 2016

Do the levels do anything? I got some of them Steam summer sale trading cards but I've never really cared about those things. On another note, I got Burnout Paradise & Ridge Racer Unbounded to work sortof. Xbox One controller over wireless wouldn't work for Burnout though :S

    Steam Summer Sale 2016

I think I bought way too much random stuff on the sale... time to start playing them. I also realised I never ended up playing Fallout 4 or Halo 5 despite buying them a while back... damn I'm a software hoarder :(

    What have you eaten today?

    too lazy

    What have you eaten today?

I really crave HSP. No such thing here in Singapore :( And frozen pies are like $4 each.

    Steam Summer Sale 2016

I don't agree with the victimless crime mindset. I'm not perfect and admit my stance on this has definitely changed now that I'm older and work in a field where I create IP... but I would acknowledge here that just because you can't afford something and wouldn't have paid/bought it anyway...

    Steam Summer Sale 2016

haha that would really hurt the devs. Seriously though, I thought anyone can buy prepaid visa debit cards these days from like the post office? Or maybe Paradoxica meant literally no money in which case the solution is to get a job :)

    Steam Summer Sale 2016

$3 is fine. That being said you raise an interesting point - I thought devs still get something even if it's given away free to the end customer. I ended up buying Insaniquarium for my SP4 so I can play when I'm bored on the plane lol.

    Steam Summer Sale 2016

A great game which I got for free on PSN... not sure if you realise but LIMBO was free for a day on Steam a week ago :( That being said it's pretty amazing, I never finished it though... got quite far through (like chapter 30+?).

    Steam Summer Sale 2016

such nice people here :) On another note, Burnout Paradise won't run on my PC :S :S :S Keeps freezing. But GRID 2 works.

    Steam Summer Sale 2016

I haven't tried it but I vaguely recall playing older Burnout games on last gen consoles (or maybe two gens ago) and enjoying it. I use my Xbox One controller :) I'll have a try once I get over prison architect. Was so tempted by GTA V but no way to sync progress of SP with my Xbox One :(
