    Steam Summer Sale 2016

Haha I know the feeling- same boat with a blue keyboard + Overwatch. Also even bought DAC + headphones so I can play without disturbing the missus.

Petition to stop students going into debt

Whilst I can see the outrage, if you take a step back and think about it logically- the whole point of HECS was to improve accessibility particularly to those who could not afford it otherwise. Let's not also forget that each university position has a degree of government funding...

New Top Gear (season 23 onwards)

Interesting > http://www.ibtimes.co.in/watch-top-gear-season-23-episode-5-live-matt-leblanc-demands-chris-evans-removal-show-684422 I have to admit I took a liking to Matt LeBlanc a lot more than I thought I would. I knew Evans was meh but he just tries too hard and doesn't seem like someone I...

    Accounting / Professional Services

I think overseas experience is always useful, and if you are at least a senior associate (or better) then you have something to offer - i.e. less training/coaching required, and potentially you can move things forward easier. That being said you need to be able to prove that you are in this...

    Accounting / Professional Services

Depends on each firm and the client base but I'd be most surprised if someone with that level of experience was doing final review of an audit file in a big 4 firm. If your seniors/managers have high faith in you they may let you do initial review and provide coaching notes/feedback to juniors...

    Cadetships 2016

Ditto. It's always good practice to improve at these networking events. Over time you realise it gets harder and harder if you don't get in early.

    Steam Summer Sale 2016

I said I had enough games to last me a lifetime and no need to buy any... but alas, the Steam Summer sale came by. So far: Prison Architect - always wanted this so might as well Saints Row IV - haven't played the series since first one but at <$5 why not Monkey Island series - haven't...

Should I learn an instrument during year 11?

If you have time/energy then why not. If you aren't working then it's a good past time which will take your eyes away from textbooks and computer screens. And it'll give you something to say in future job applications/scholarship applications/etc.

The 6 Types of People That Will Make Your Group Assignments Hell

I had one group assignment where one of my friends got stuck with someone who copied and pasted Wikipedia. In full. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Xbox Play Anywhere

I have to admit this was an announcement which excited me from E3... the thought of being able to buy once (e.g. Forza Horizon 3 - which looks pretty slick being based in Australia!) and then play on both my Xbox One and my Windows PC/laptop is pretty sweet with stats/progress all staying in...

The 6 Types of People That Will Make Your Group Assignments Hell

#1 is the best. After watching so many reality TV shows (Apprentice comes to mind) you'd think everyone is trying their best to become project manager/lead/etc and you'd have to fight for it. No. Never happens. You're lucky if you have someone who wants to be the boss otherwise eventually...

Why won't selective schools+top private schools have more subject accelerations

Who is it now? I actually really enjoyed my social science teachers back in Baulko - and it led me to a career path in Commerce/humanities
