HSC study tool for digital note taking devices

I own both a few pen devices - SP4, SP5, iPad Pro 12.9" with pencil and even a Wacom tablet. I find writing from scratch to never match pen/paper but it is convenient for marking up PDFs if you have decent software. So far, none are perfect but I use my iPad Pro pencil more than the others...

    Nintendo Switch

I'm really debating it still... I want to play Pokken Tournament lol. Mario looks good too even though it's not even 1080p when docked according to digital foundry.

So what are you guys playing at the moment?

Forza 7... and at 95gb it was a heck of a download on Win10. And 65gb on my Xbox One too.

should i drop mathematics extension 1

Science-based ones I presume. Not really for Commerce.

    How to memorise essays effectively?

Remember the key point and quote for each paragraph, and just get very good at reconstructing it in an exam. Doesn't need to be word for word.

    Post your gaming setup

It's been a while... but I've updated my setup as I became #pcmasterrace and invested in the Tekken/fighting genre (two arcade sticks so I can play with the wife). Not the tidiest or best setup but good enough for 1440p gaming at 100Hz. Pity Tekken never makes use of it though, and neither do...

    Overwatch - who is playing?

Wish they had proper 21:9 support :(

    What's commerce like?

2 unit maths is fine. Unless you are doing the more hardcore quantitative finance subjects which require modelling/statistical analysis/etc, it's usually just plugging numbers into a formula.

    Pokemon Go

This. It's still a casual game but there are definitely hardcore players now... I even started to recognise familiar faces at raids. Can't believe they walk everywhere though.

how competitive will it be to get a job after graduating from uni

If you're in a professional role where there's a professional body/qualification (eg CA, CFA, etc) and you get blacklisted there, you'll find it tough to find employment again in the same field (at least locally), and you probably wouldn't be able to get a reference for a new role either. That...

    Tekken 7

Bought an arcade stick (HORI Real Arcade Pro V).... I think I'm hooked on this but it makes the game so much more enjoyable than my Xbox One controller. The irony is I drop $300 on that but I'm too tight to buy the Elite Xbox One controller for half that price... hmm.

    Pokemon Go

I actually am still playing. And in hindsight, it's the most I've ever paid to play in a freemium or pay to play game.

    Wealth Management ---> IB/MC/TAS

I wouldn't have interpreted what he said in that way.

how competitive will it be to get a job after graduating from uni

It does vary a bit by degree/field though; grad jobs / clerkships in law is a different beast altogether.

    Tekken 7

Only benefit so far I've had with the new 1080Ti and X34 is I get 1440p resolution and detail (but not ultrawide). Looks nice.

    Tekken 7

It's a shame that Tekken 7 is also limited to 60fps as well even if you have higher spec graphics cards/monitor. I guess it's to keep it fair?

    Cadetships 2017

How is that a cold call if you applied? (I do believe this was a telephone screening)

    Tekken 7

I'm enjoying it. Online isn't great for me as I either get owned, or the other guy 'drops out' somehow when I've already won 2 rounds (need 3 to win). Offline mode is fun and I love the customisation. I wish an ultrawide mode would come soon as I just got an X34 ultrawide monitor.

    Cadetships 2017

Yes it'll help. A common move I'd say from what I have seen. That being said, it may only help you get in the door but you may not get much credit/recognition for your experience (ie. you may go down a grade/level/title) given the difference in methodology/client base/niches/etc.

    Cadetships 2017

At the level of undergraduate, you are gaining invaluable work experience which will give you a huge step up later on either within your organisation or outside. I wouldn't worry about salary too much if your objective is to get the experience in an organisation which you want to work at. (in...
