    Differentiation Help!

Find dy/dx and d^2y/dx^2 Sub in y and dy/dx in to the differential equation. Rearrange such that d^2y/dx^2 is on one side and everything else is on the other. Equate coefficients with d^2y/dx^2 equation. I haven't tried this yet but it may work. You could mix things around like subbing in y...

    Projectile Motion

In tests, they either ask you to derive it, or they'll supply the equations. In textbooks, they don't specify, so do whichever you like (don't derive if you're already confident and feel that you'll just be wasting time).

    points and intervals

To divide it in to 5 equal subintervals, we need to consider the 4 different ratios for A, B, C and D. For A, it is one fifth of the distance away from S and four fifths the distance away from T. So the ratio for A is 1:4 For B, 2:3 For C, 3:2 For D, 4:1

    2012 Year 9 &10 Mathematics Marathon

Re: 2012 Year 9 &10 Mathematics Marathon With 3. , focus on the expression with the divide sign in front of it. Notice the bottom is a perfect square, and if you put the two terms at the top together under a common denominator and factorise it (difference of two squares), you find things...

Why do we need to ensure that the mole ratio (N2:H2) remains 1:3 during the Haber...?

Re: Why do we need to ensure that the mole ratio (N2:H2) remains 1:3 during the Haber From what I've been taught, you maintain the stoichiometric ratio as a higher concentration of one other will act to clog the catalyst, reducing effective surface area.
