That question 8 circle geometry worth 5 marks was surprisingly easy.

Assess the suitability of water quality tests used to monitor eutrophication

You can talk about those tests, but you could also talk about the other water quality tests that golgo13 mentioned, specifically towards eutrophication, and assess the suitability of those. State disadvantages and disadvantages of each test you speak about and provide a judgement for the...

Photoelectric effect, Stopping voltage, Kinetic energy max... IMPORTANT!!

    Typing that up nicer :) E_{k, max} = hf_{incident} - \phi

Photoelectric effect, Stopping voltage, Kinetic energy max... IMPORTANT!!

    1. By applying a potential (connecting a power pack or battery) 2. Light is made up of photons each carrying a quanta of energy proportional to frequency, E = hf Also, c = f(lambda), but c is constant, so varying the wavelength will change frequency which changes energy. So putting it all...

    Explanation of photoelectric effect?

I love how all of these links are the first 6 results on Google search (excluding the phet simulation) lol

    option topic

lol schools do no option topics? They're worth 25% in the HSC paper and should be worth the same in your trials. Yes you usually have to follow your teacher as most schools only write/include the option questions for what they have taught (unless you have spoken with your head teacher and have...

    Maths Acceleration?Year 10&11

Syllabus would probably have changed by then, so you won't be learning 3U but Specialist Mathematics (unconfirmed). Yes those marks do count, only if you are sitting the HSC course and not the preliminary HSC course.

    Differentiation Help!

Harry mixes in 3U questions with 2U questions as he teaches 3U students with the same booklets.

    Differentiation Help!

I think questions such as differentiating x^x would really frighten 2U students haha.

    Differentiation Help!

It's not just something for 4U, it's a technique we occasionally use to makes things easier. Implicit differentiation is just an application of chain rule, and i think it would be applicable to rates of change questions and possible some sketching questions in 3U.

    Differentiation Help!

I'm thinking along the lines of manipulating dy/dx expression so that it's in terms of x and y, then differentiate (would need to use implicit) which *may* yield the required equation, depending if you manipulated it correctly.
