Do all points for assessing/evaluating need evidence?

Yes in the sense that you don't need to provide actual temps, but change "combust" to "ignite."

    Calling all high achievers.

means 98th percentile here (wrong way of saying it but many people do this)

Quick question about limits involving sin.

    My question: are YOU trolling? It's doable with high school knowledge. to OP: since nsin(pi/n)=sin(pi/n)/(1/n) since n=/=0 lim(n-->Inf) sin(pi/n)/(1/n) =pi*lim(n-->Inf) sin(pi/n)/(pi/n) =pi*1 =pi using the limit: lim(m-->0) sin(m)/m=1 and lim(n-->Inf) (1/n)=0

    le chatelier's principle

If it reacts with a hydronium ion, it indeed then acts as a base, but that's not the only thing that's occurring. You thus cannot say that it's acting as a base only. Plus, the most probable candidate for the cause of acidic taste is hydronium ions. It's known that bicarbonate ions do not...

Is Ammonium a strong or weak acid and is Ammonia it's strong or weak conjugate base?

Re: Is Ammonium a strong or weak acid and is Ammonia it's strong or weak conjugate ba Both are weak. Believe me, I got a state rank in chem.

    Calling all high achievers.

Sciences: Get your syllabus notes ready so that you don't need to revisit multiple textbooks or ask last minute questions to tutors/teachers close to exams. Imo, getting such notes/material ready for final revision (before each exam) is far more important than attempting practice questions/past...

Who's is genuinely SCARED about the HSC??

to test how ready you are to do some hard work/study at uni since not everyone can or should go to uni as places and resources are limited... and the 13 years of schooling would really be basic education that's considered to be necessary/good to have done to appreciate those around you/blend...

    university medicine interview

Extracurricular and volunteer activities are good to have done, but they're unnecessary. I got in without having anything much in that category. Difficulty and focus of interview varies a bit depending on unis, but generally the same format - semi-structured, 2-3 interviewers (in most cases 2)...

    Quick question on subject selection

the bolded bit: Not necessarily the case, imo. Depends on the person. and GPA doesn't depends on what unit you do. Only on your final score.

    How often do you study?

This. Early in the semester, yes, plenty of time to study, but as midsem approaches, prob no time to study without sacrificing sleep (and who'd do that during the semester? except for doing last minute assignments).

    CHEM1901 or CHEM1903?

SSP chem shares the same set of lectures as adv chem and the only differences are that the lecturer takes your tutes and labs are better - more space and if it's like 2 years ago, pretty bludgey too (in the 1st sem). E.g. adv chem has titration lab skills test while SSP has none! but 2nd sem SSP...

    Favourite Mathematical Concept/trick?

Stats is awesome! Testing procedures are often tedious, but the theories behind them are interesting.

How many advanced units in 1st year?

Partial derivatives are taught in MATH1001 and not in 4u anyway.

How many advanced units in 1st year?

lol no worries! I'm kinda bored of these holidays so I'm killing my time haha Adv stats is different to other maths in that university stats is not something that's taught in high school. That's why many people give very diverse responses to it - some people say it's ridiculously hard and some...

How many advanced units in 1st year?

I actually think 4U was a pretty difficult course and adv maths didn't feel that bad after doing 4U. So it could mean that in terms of learning the first time, adv units are easier OR 4U just improved my maths by heaps so that now I can understand things better. I'm not sure which so can't...
