Who are the best teachers in Matrix Education?

1veritasium I'm guessing you mean "where"? I've heard good things about The Brain (Hurstville), C3 Education (Concord West) & Compass (Burwood). The last 2 centres specialise in English.

    Chemistry Questions

Re: Reaction of alkanes question The OH takes precedence over the bromo so we have to count such that the OH has the lowest number. Read over this site: http://www.chem.ucalgary.ca/courses/351/orgnom/main/rules.html

    Chemistry Questions

Re: Reaction of alkanes question IIRC, i learnt how to do naming in Energy in the prelim course. Its not always necessarily from left to right, but from the side such that you start with the lowest number. lol i just realised what i said made no sense at all.. "ascending to descending". What...

    Chemistry Questions

Re: Reaction of alkanes question Let's break down the name first: 1,2-dibromoethane Bolded: Tells us the carbon structure of the compound. Since it's ethane, we can draw 2 C's. Italics: Tells us any added atoms. "Bromo" tells us there is bromine, and "di" tells us there are two of them...

    Chemistry Questions

Re: Reaction of alkanes question The chlorine atom can substitute any of the H atoms. The one that you posted up is one of them, 2-chlorobutane, and there's another possible one, 1-chlorobutane, when the chlorine atom substitutes a H from either ends of the molecule. Notice how if you...

    Preferences & Offers questions

    1. Is the deadline midnight tonight or midnight tomorrow night? 2. If we accept an offer in the main round, would we still receive offers in the later rounds?

    2u Fitz GP Question

    $Sum to infinity $ = \frac{a}{1-r}=27 ... (1) $Sum of first four terms $ = a + ar + ar^2 + ar^3 = 21\frac{2}{3} a(r+1) + ar^2(r + 1) = \frac{65}{3} a(r^2+1)(r+1)=\frac{65}{3} ... (2) (2) \div (1): (r^2+1)(r+1)(1-r)=\frac{65}{81} -(r^2+1)(r^2-1)=\frac{65}{81} -(r^4-1)=\frac{65}{81} r^4 = 1...

    HSC 2012-2015 Chemistry Marathon (archive)

re: HSC Chemistry Marathon Archive The cell is set up with two separate half cells. As zinc oxidises, electrons are released and travel to the cathode. By separating the cells by an external wire, the electrons are forced to travel through this (the path with minimal resistance) to reach the...

    HSC 2012-2015 Chemistry Marathon (archive)

re: HSC Chemistry Marathon Archive I just bolded it to show that i changed something. Most sources use the word "migration" so its best to stick to what is taught as keywords are pretty important.

    HSC 2012-2015 Chemistry Marathon (archive)

re: HSC Chemistry Marathon Archive It all sounds pretty good, just that you should include that the way the cell is set up forces electrons to move from the anode to the cathode through an external wire thus creating an electric current (flow of charges). The salt bridge simply acts to...
