General Thoughts: Australian History, Geography, Civics and Citizenship

In a way I disagree. The Holden WAS promoted in the 1950's, however in the 20's the motor car itself was mass produced for the first time. Also, both in the 20's and the 50's, middle-class people could afford to buy a motor car because of the booming economy. Well...that's what it says in the...

I agree the car would be appropriate BUT don't forget that the car got popular during the 20's while the television came into Australia during the 50's. Therefore the television would be more relevant to the post-war period which is specified in the question.

    General Thoughts: Mathematics

Just wondering, what was the answer for the angle of elevation one? I had 18 degrees, since it said to the nearest degree. The exact answer was somewhere abround 17 degrees 40 minutes so I rounded it up. Is that correct? Some people have been saying it was 17 degrees???

    General Thoughts: Mathematics

My favorite was the angle one. It was like a triangle and it asked to find the size of angle BCE or whatever and the angle size was right there on the diagram! I had to double check lol so technically I DID spend a bit more time on the really easy ones than I had to because I had to make sure I...

    General Thoughts: English–literacy

Yes I agree, as long as you don't have excessive swearing and/or graphic sex scenes in your story (which I doubt since we only got 2 pages to write it and there simply wouldn't be room for anything like that)...good luck with the marks :) since it seems like a pretty original idea that would...

    General Thoughts: Computing Skills

It was alright...finished it with half an hour to spare so just looked over my answers and glad I did so, found quite a few silly mistakes xD

Did any of you choose Ancient History?

Mee! I am doing it :)

General Thoughts: Australian History, Geography, Civics and Citizenship

You mean the wind direction on the Australian map? It was North-East and the speed was 6-10 km/h I think. I wrote about coastal management. I did aid for the UN question, was gonna do peacekeeping but didn't feel I could write much on that. I wasn't even sure if aid was an option I could do, I...

General Thoughts: Australian History, Geography, Civics and Citizenship

I triple checked and pretty sure it didn't say 'out of the following'....doesn't matter I did Italy since that was the highest of the options

General Thoughts: Australian History, Geography, Civics and Citizenship

I am pretty sure it said neither, I looked for that but it was just like "Which of country had the greatest number of migrants in 1971?" or something along those lines...

General Thoughts: Australian History, Geography, Civics and Citizenship

Ooh did anyone notice there was a weird mistake...in the question about where the greatest amount of migrants came from in 1971, in the table UK was the largest number (was like..40%) yet it wasn't an option...idk did I read the question wrong or something??

    General Thoughts: English–literacy

Same, quench usually means satisfy but in the context I am pretty sure it was extinguish.

Haha ooh yeh and I forgot about that UN question... wrote some bs about aid and how it helps our relationship with our Asian neighbors (?)... my hope of getting 80 or above is slowly diminishing with the realization of how much bs I really wrote
