Pretty much the same.. I would recommend against studying economics though.. Half the time in classes is spent clarifying some pedantic point (and often about mathematics).

As far as the universities here are concerned, they the two degrees are the same.. you have to do basic accounting, maths and economics for all of them, and you get to do the same majors. As a general rule I think degrees with more specific names sounds worse... It makes your degree sound like...

What they should do is to have a compulsory course worth perhaps say 1 unit about the English language and a 2 unit extension course on literature. Those doing 4 units could be exempted from the language component just like how Mathematics Extension 2 students do not actually sit the 2 unit exam.
