    Concession stickers

Nah, I know my zpass details. I got it done so that I didn't have to sign in my details everytime I wanted to use Uniwide.

    Concession stickers

Get it done now. You might want to get your WIFI (Uniwide) settings on phone and laptop done as well while your at it. I renewed by Concession cart and my Uniwide settings yesterday in 10 mins flat.

House Prices on the North Shore

Depends if you want to be near rail/public transport or not. And also if you want features such as a pool, relatively flat terrain (it's quite hilly in the North Shore), number of bedrooms, etc. You could get a house in West pymble, East Roseville, North/South Turrumurra for under 1 mill. Most...

Best websites / places to get a casual job

Call centre rates range anywhere from $17 - $22 an hr. Great rates but terrible work environment. Charities/sales related call centre roles pay less than market research/newspoll jobs. Unless you're a mute or cannot string together a coherent sentence, you should be able to get them...

    Bachelor of Commerce

I'm not that clear on Eco/Comm. Though I remember a friend who did QmA (ECON1202) in Semester 1 instead of Mgmt who did Eco/Comm.

Commerce/Law Course Enrolment: Did I mess up?

They'll always be people in every lecture of any subject, namely the very disciplined and the internationals (not mutually exclusive). After all, the internationals have to get their money's worth. And besides, people from other degrees take MGMT1001 as a general education course, elective...

    Bachelor of Commerce

If you're a normal commerce student (not Co-Op) then you take the normal 4 compulsory courses in sem 1, then 4 electives in sem 2 (must take FINS 1612) Then when you start your majors in 2nd year then you take FINS1613 and another other subjects within the FINS major requirements. There should...

    Majors for Commerce

If you're just doing just commerce: Semester 1: 4 compulsory courses (Acct 1a, micro, BES, MGMT) Semester 2: Choose 4 elective level 1 courses (there's a list on the UNSW website) If you know which majors you want to do, then choose the corresponding elective coruses for that major cos they...

Commerce/Law Course Enrolment: Did I mess up?

If you're referring to your 9am Monday start. Don't worry about attending Management lectures regularly. Just need to download the course outline, find when your major assignments are due and go to the lectures on those corresponding weeks. You'll end up going to max. 3-4 Mgmt lectures and...

Commerce/Law Course Enrolment: Did I mess up?

Good choice leaving out Business Economic Stats for Sem 1. BES is hard and annoying. In sem. 2, (depending on which major you're planning to do) you'll get a choice of slightly easier courses such as Marketing to boost your WAM. But bear in mind that Finance, accounting 1b and...

    Car to Buy Advice

Whoops. Forgot to add some other very mentionable hot hatches: Mini Cooper S Fiat 500 Abarth VW Scirocco (IF it arrives to AUS soon) Used Mazda RX 8 (Not technically a hot hatch I know) Skoda Octavia RS (it's good performance for the money) VW polo Gti (light car class)

    Car to Buy Advice

There's nothing wrong with the Ford XR5 apart from the fact that it's getting replaced in a year or so. So you can either wait for the all new one or wait for the runout pricing for the current model. As for other contenders in the 35-45k (new) "hot hatch" market, here are a couple of...

    Composing past Highschool/For fun.

Well I'm sure there are other composers around. But unless you're doing tertiary music education, there are no set goals and thus, it's hard to find motivation. Since there is no one to critique or many local/national competitions, finding encouragement and drive would understandably deter many...

Best websites / places to get a casual job

For going to be school leavers in Sydney, USYD careers website or UNSW careers website are both excellent. Though you'd need a friend/connection who goes to those universities for an account. Lots of tutor, sales assistant, telemarketing etc on top of more specialised jobs.

    Composing past Highschool/For fun.

Hey there. Another fellow composer here who shared your passion. Though I must admit that since I don't play the piano as often as before, my fingers have started "clumping" and the melodies are definitely less lyrical.

TIPS for getting ur first job for HSC finishers!!!

If you know what degree/industry that you want to work in, it makes more sense to start off with an internship in that industry rather than a generic "first job." Sure, you make an economic sacrifice, but your CV and referees will be top notch quality. And you'll actually have more to say...

99+ ATAR Maths Tutor (ex-JAMES RUSE) - UNSW MEDICINE - Baulkham Hills/Bella Vista

Lolol. Thumbs up for this guy cos he is hilarious and will actually get you working throughout the year. See you at Laura's for NYE!

I dont get UNSW's HSC Plus?

UNSW acknowledges that the subjects u took in high school are relevant to your degree and you can get bonus points for that subject. Nearly all degrees (including commerce) acknowledge English (adv), English ext 1 and 2 Maths 2U (not general) and 3 and 4U. If you get a band 5 for any...

    Commerce/Law at USYD or UNSW

Internal transfers into Law are ridiculously hard. You'll have to work your arse off first year Uni and get at least a Distinction average. Not to mention they'll be lots of other people from other faculties wanting to do the same thing.
