    x(x+2)-[35/x(x+2)]=34 Let u=x(x+2). Now, u-[35/u]=34 i.e. u^2-34u-35=0 (u-35)(u+1)=0 Hence, u=-1,35 =>x(x+2)=-1, 35 x^2+2x+1=0 or x^2+2x-35=0 (x+1)^2=0 or (x+7)(x-5)=0 :.x=-1,5,-7

    Carrot, your not completely done with q6. You have to use geometry to find a relationship between the two arguments.
