    Cssa biology

I'll sleep 5 - 8. Be at school by 9. I have the "basic" knowledge, but it's just a few things here and there that I have no idea about, esp. option. The long responses are going to kill me, so that's what I'm working on now. as well as the most common things they ask about. Lucky you, only 2...

The things I could do with that memory. Lol I'm pretty much going to learn all four modules in the next 5 hours. Hopefully. No time for past papers I guess.

Chromosome tables...? For pedigree charts, know: - how to figure out whether a trait is recessive/dominant - how to figure out the genotype/phentyope of certain individuals - how can they be used (genetic counselling) - advantages That's all I can think of now.

I'm going through the option now. I think I was asleep when we did this. Seriously. Everything seems so foreign. Looking through past cssa trials, don't even know what half the questions are asking. :confused2: I just hope I have enough basic knowledge to bs half the exam Whenever I say...

I don't think so, I kind of know the cycle of the anopheles mosquito for malaria...doubt they'll ask about that. Completely screwed. Don't think anyone else is as unprepared as I am. Done: mab, half of bol, half of sfbh Not done: half of bol, half of sfbh, option

Prelim Bio compared to HSC Bio

I didn't even do patterns in nature in prelim, so didn't learn all the diffusion/osmosis stuff, and I'm doing fine now. As you said, the courses are completely different, and HSC is a lot more interesting.

    Help? Past exam question?

    i) A diagonal of a rhombus bisects the angle. PR bisects ^SPQ ^SPQ = 2*52 = 104 ii) ^SRQ = 104 (opp. angles of rhombus are equal) ^QRT = 180 - 104 = 76 (suplementary angles)

    2013 CSSA Mathematics Thoughts?

Distance can't be negative. But you can have a negative displacement. If the displacement was -5m, it means the object is 5m to the left of the origin...

    2013 CSSA Mathematics Thoughts?

No, I think it's still displacement (Idk why I put distance in the exam). The value of the shaded region would've been how much the object has been displaced during the first two seconds. So, if it was let's say 50 (well, -50), the object has been displaced 50 units during the first two seconds...

For the one in the multiple choice: 17/38 Other one: 190/351 ... I hope I got that in the exam, if not, so screwed.

Infinite sum exactly. Not 100% sure though, but most likely (99% sure) it did say "infinte sum".

    2013 CSSA Mathematics Thoughts?

    1, y^2/(y-1)^2, y^4/(y-1)^4... y =/= 0 and y =/= 1. Edit: Was it (1-y) and not (y-1)? Sorry.

    2013 CSSA Mathematics Thoughts?

Something like "for what values of y does this series NOT have an infinite sum"...

    2013 CSSA Mathematics Thoughts?

Yeah, I understand where you're coming from. But a limiting sum IS an infinite sum, it just has a limit. Lol, this is confusing me.
