I was a lot slower in yr 11, probably could write 1000 words in 50 minutes but now with all this yr 12 stuff my hand has toughened up and i can write around 1000 words in 40 minutes.

The problem with handwriting your notes is that when you come back to it when you are revising for your exams and you realise you may have missed out important snippets of information. Whereas if you type, you can just edit your work and it's all good.

I can't really concencrate when i'm listening to music for subjects that involve intensive reading. For calculations in chemistry and physics yes, as well as solving problems for maths.

@OP, you should check out an atar calculator, an aligned mark of 85 for economics is roughly the same as 90 in general maths.

In terms of maths papers, trials and hsc are kinda different. Hsc has easy questions initally but the last question is very challenging. You will be hardpressed to find harder questions than Q8 HSC for 4u in trial papers.

From my personal point of view, I think economics would be a good subject to keep. But ask yourself this: Do I really HAVE to drop a subject? Ten units seems appealing - Yes you have 2 less units which means more time to spend on other subjects but keeping both i think would be most...
