    UAI Estimate Please?

ATAR* Estimate Please? Well, my school is ranked 522. Petty crap school, yes. I can't remember my rankings completely, I should have saved them. Estimated RAW marks and Ranks: English Adv - 82% ~ 15/21 Maths 2u - 65% ~ 18/22 Information Processing and Technology - 80% ~ 1/5 Drama -...

Once I finished Kindergarten, I started Year 3. If it were up to me, I'd be normal. But I'm not, so I suppose I have to deal with it.

    Watcha think of my creative?

Thanks for the lovely encouragement. Are you going to fail the HSC? Because....judging by your grammar, it doesn't seem like you're going to pass English.

    Watcha think of my creative?

Yup. I'm 14. And it does seem a little cliche. Ah well, I hope I just get at least 10 for it. Because the other sections will balance it out :)

    section 2 question

    Yes indeedy.
  11. Nuclear

    section 2 question

They will also be marked on how they answer the question, fulfill rubrics & outcomes. The question wanted more depth. People with one related text supplied that more than the people with 2.

    section 2 question

Oh, btw. I rung the BoS. No person who did 2 texts will be penalized, both texts will be marked, because the markers mark according to to how the students answered the question and fulfilled the rubrics and outcomes, not the texts used.

Do you lose marks for having 2 related texts?

Re: Called up Board of Studies regarding 2 related texts No, don't you apologise. I'M sorry, lol. It just pisses me off to no end when people come in and make sweeping generalisations, especially considering that, in my case at least, it is completely wrong.

Do you lose marks for having 2 related texts?

Re: Called up Board of Studies regarding 2 related texts Only thing ironic here is that you misread my post. The only people I was calling idiots are the people who, after their point had been discussed 10,000 posts ago, come in and say "You should read it".

Do you lose marks for having 2 related texts?

Re: Called up Board of Studies regarding 2 related texts I'm not saying it's your fault. After thirteen years of being prepared for 2 and having the HSC question as 2 related, you would think it's a given.

Do you lose marks for having 2 related texts?

Re: Called up Board of Studies regarding 2 related texts Actually no, it's not an interpretation. The examiners mark on the marking guidelines which is derived from the outcomes and rubrics. Look at any essay question you've been given before, then look at the marking guidelines. Completely...

Do you lose marks for having 2 related texts?

Re: Called up Board of Studies regarding 2 related texts Oh god. I give up, you idiots with 3 posts keep coming in and saying we should have read the question. How about YOU go read the rest of the fucking argument? Tools.

Do you lose marks for having 2 related texts?

Re: Called up Board of Studies regarding 2 related texts I didn't say that 2 DIDN'T constitute variety. Merely that 2 related DOES.
  19. Nuclear

Do you lose marks for having 2 related texts?

Re: Called up Board of Studies regarding 2 related texts The examiners mark the outcomes based on the rubrics, not the question. The question is a guideline for the students to show that they can fulfill the rubrics and the outcomes. If the outcomes and rubrics both say "Variety" we can't get...
