The examination mark is the mark you received for the actual HSC exam, the assessment mark is the mark you received in terms of your rank and the performance of the rest of your cohort. The HSC mark is an average of these two marks.

Note: neither the examination mark, the assessment mark or the HSC mark are raw marks.
