    'feature articles'

IIRC, you need a title, byline, maybe a date... you might want to divide it into columns to make it look neat. The language depends on the target audience. :)

    Why is G.P.E negative?

youngmini: I didn't realise that was the explanation for "infinite distance" thank you! lolok: Thanks for explaning why GPE was negative, it helped a lot! k02: No offence to the other helpers, but THIS REALLY HELPED ME THE MOST! Now I understand the whole infinity thing I think. Thank you for...

    Why is G.P.E negative?

OK, so in essence, we're trying to find the GPE of moving a mass from a point in a gravitational field to somewhere far away (infinity). So, that Gravitational Field would be the earth's and GPE is negative because the gravitational field is exerting a force on the object downwards (or however...

Very nice. A quick resource to find the contrasts in contexts :) Thank you!

Elizabeth Barrett Browning: Sonnets from the Portuguese. HELP!

If you look at EBB's idea of love and that of which is portrayed in The Great Gatsby, you'll get a good idea at how it contrasts to contemporary love.

    Why is G.P.E negative?

That's strange... What if the mass at the point of infinity was just as infinitely large, GPE = -G(m) ??? Am I interpreting this correctly?
  9. O

    Why is G.P.E negative?

From what I interpret, GPE = -G(m1m2)/r as r -> infinity, GPE -> 0 where r is the distance between the centre of the Earth and the centre of infinity. So even if this "infinite point" had a mass, GPE = 0 anyway. Sorry, I kinda hijacked the thread there because I had trouble understanding...

The World Communicates - Or does it?

That's right, you could get marked down for using only one resource type.

    Induced current Investigation

Just get a coil of copper wire that can be connected to a circuit and connect it in series to a milliammeter. Then, pass a magnet (the stronger, the better), through the coil and observe the readings on the milliammeter, taking care in noticing direction of magnet input and speed of magnet input.

The World Communicates - Or does it?

Google: australian scientists research on fibre optics You might just get a start there.

I thought blue light had low frequency and red light had a high frequency... or was that wavelength?

Gatsby and the concept of the 'American Dream'

I'd say you're spot on there. Don't forget to analyse the other relationships in the novel as well. Like Tom and Myrtyle. How did they come to be together? Why aren't they out of their respective relationships and into their ideal relationship? I don't know if it's necessary, but if you study...

    Japanese Extension

As for the N, I'm pretty sure it's short for NO. EG: 何をしたのですか。 -> 何をしたんですか NANI WO SHITA NO DESU KA. -> NANI WO SHITA N' DESU KA. As for what emphasis it places, I honestly don't know it, and if I did, I probably couldn't explain it.

    Remembering Essays..

Just remember really good points of discussion, how to write a SEXY essay (it's never failed me) and attempt the essay first. Likewise, have several plot ideas for short stories that you can manipulate to fit the question.

Is Anybody Reading THE CRUCIBLE By Arthur Miller

I think this is the wrong forum, but in any case... Use Sparknotes. The Crucible is quite a popular text if you were to also research it a bit on Google. There are also study guides such as Excel, Topnotes and Yorknotes that analyse the Crucible, but Yorknotes doesn't relate it to belonging.
