If you think it'll improve your other subjects to drop it, then do so. But if not, there's no reason to not just keep it as a back up, just in case some of your other subjects go wrong :)

Make sure you can do the technical questions as well as the generic "What should TotallyOriginalCompany do in the case of [...]?" questions, since they're mostly easy marks.

I wouldn't be too hopeful, don't think anyone really has notes for Software. I'd suggest grabbing your text book and just writing up a quote dot point summary of every chapter, if you feel like that's what you need. I would personally focus more on practice exams than notes, at this point.

Yes and no - it only depends on the rank and the school's overall performance externally. If someone ranked 28/37 can get 79 raw than I would assume the internal mark wouldn't be much different.

Using rawmarks.info, 79 raw goes to 89-90 aligned, which is why I said it was borderline, by the way :p Source

Those marks would normally align to borderline band5/band 6. However, remember that your external marks get averaged with whatever you get as your internal mark. I would say a band 5 with those marks is very likely :)
