    Section I: Multiple Choice

An indictable offence doesn't necessarily mean that it will be heard by a jury. Like SuchSmallHands said, the Simon Gittany case was heard by a judge only, and that was for murder (or maybe manslaughter, I'm not sure, either way works).

    Section I: Multiple Choice

I'm not exactly sure what you're saying. Committal hearings are heard for indictable offenses to see if the case has any merit to it that would justify the time of a higher court.

    Section I: Multiple Choice

    Guys, I got question 7 wrong. :(

    Section I: Multiple Choice

Her inability to understand events lowers her charge from murder to manslaughter. 10 is B, a committal hearing has to be heard first in the local court. The question is asking "which court will be the first to hear the charge against Peter?". Agree with question 18.

    General Thoughts: Legal Studies

Was way too easy imo, especially the essay questions.

    Section I: Multiple Choice

Oh, go away. That would be downright discriminatory. I read the Crimes Act. 24 Manslaughter—punishment Whosoever commits the crime of manslaughter shall be liable to imprisonment for 25 years: Provided that, in any case, if the Judge is of the opinion that, having regard to all the...

    Multiple Choice

I got that wrong because i can't divide. (That was meant to be written in all caps) For some retarded reason I thought that the one with the heaviest molar mass would be the answer......... Also, I lost my calculator after the exam and life sucks. Actually i'm pretty sure the examiner took it...

    Multiple Choice

Can you guys please stop talking about 13. I had D, when I even wrote that a decrease in volume = an increase in pressure. But then for some reason I drew an arrow towards the left hand side of the reaction............................................... Worst thing is that it wasn't even a hard...

    OPTION: Industrial Chemistry

Never saying anything ever again until i know i'm right. gg, can't even capslock that.

    OPTION: Industrial Chemistry

    jk, it was about 0.41 mol/L. 0.028 = .17^2 * .17 / x x^2 = .17^2 *.17 / 0.028 x^2 = 0.175 square root 0.175 = 0.41 Can confirm by plugging it back into the equation: .17^2 * .17 / 0.41^2 = 0.28ish The 0.41 is not exact as I didn't carry over the significant figures properly during the...

    General Thoughts: Chemistry

Basically, this+the 7 marker on industrial = gg chem. And the multiple choice, where I lost 3 marks for no reason. Literally no reason.

    General Thoughts: Chemistry

What was the answer to the first question in the core on nuclear chemistry? That was another gem.

    General Thoughts: Chemistry

I FUCKING lost 3 marks on multiple choice. Question 7, 13 and 20. The only legit mark I should have lost was maybe question 13. I'm fucking retarded, I had 5 minutes left over and didn't use that time to check the answers.
  17. C

    OPTION: Industrial Chemistry

    The equilibrium question was something like .175 IIRC. I lost my calculator, so I can't show the working. NaOH question was cell Y for sure. 2H2O + 2e- --> H2 + 2OH- 2Cl- --> Cl2 + 2e- Overall: 2H2O + 2NaCl --> H2 + Cl2 + 2NaOH

    Redox

From 2009 HSC sample answers: Shouldn't it be the platinum electrode that's the anode?? Because iron is to the left of lead in the activity series, meaning it should be getting oxidised?? gg, failing tomorrow if I can't even do this.

Um what is going on - barium sulfate fertilizer reliability

The way we were taught was that reliability is reduced by random errors, such as ones occurring from "human error" (I hate using that term, it's way too vague). These would be unplanned errors that occur only once through repetitions of the experiment, such accidental spillage. For validity...

HELP! env impact of dry and button cells?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zinc#Toxicity Zinc can become a problem if it is disposed in high quantities in the environment, so if large amounts of batteries are thrown away in one area you can say something there.
