Taking notes in Lectures: Laptops vs Paper. Discuss.

I believe you could also hire a notetaker - although I believe you must be challenged or impaired in some/such ways that the services unit will let you.

    ARC @ unsw

Aw nice! Want one of those! Reckon they have this available now or they'll distribute it later in O-week? I hear some people already got their 2014 diaries... so I'm assuming this comes with it?

    The Wolf of Wall Street

Gonna watch this tomorrow hopefully. I'm still yet to watch American Hustle and Blue is the Warmest Colour. <<< can't wait for that one! :)

    ARC @ unsw

Apparently so, SSAF is required by all students at uni I suppose. Happened to me last year at UTS.

    The Wolf of Wall Street

Though nearly watching every single Scorsese film that there is, do you still consider Wolf of Wall Street to be better than Goodfellas, Casino, Taxi Driver? The only difference is that those three are pure crime films where Wolf of Wall Street is a crime-comedy I guess. I haven't watch this...

    ARC @ unsw

It's free now? Supposedly I don't see any fees on Arc's website. Do we get a card also? Thanks! :) -------------------------- EDIT: Oh so this is part of the SSAF fees? That being no charge?

Last movie you watched? And what you thought of it?

Anyone gonna watch Blue Is the Warmest Color? Seems like a good and a very parable film about two people.

Is 23 too old to be starting Uni?

He also keeps interrupting (very rudely) and trashing Harry's Eco for Business nightly lecture, thus not finishing in time. He seems to sit alone in the corner in the 8pm tutorials and others look at him with disgust and disrespect (I've been to this because I skipped my other tute lol)...

Is 23 too old to be starting Uni?

Yeah true. Mature students seem to be more on top of the edge and more intelligent than us recent school-leaver students. Like that 'Nick' guy on the FB page who argued that non ACCT/FINS major students shouldn't be doing B.BUS in the first place? lol

Is 23 too old to be starting Uni?

You're not the only one. There are heaps of mature aged students (most are at UTS), so it depends which uni. I know one guy who's around 75 - 80 years old doing Bachelor of Business at UTS. Not sure how to feel for those working with him in the group projects...

UWS to UNSW Computer Science Transfer

Did you miss out on an offer for Comp Sc at UNSW? It's hard to say, that would probably depend on your knowledge and skills and admiration for Media Arts and Computer Science respectively. Or do you have both equally? Transferring into Computer Science via Media Arts is said to be alot easier...

How many clubs and societies are you in?

In 5 clubs (that is, Business Society, Student Success Initiative, Chess Club, Writers Club, Oxfam) at UTS last year. Only ended up going and being active in 1 (Business Society) - never had I attended one single session out of the other 4. I just thought it would look good on the CV lol. This...

    Mid-year transfer from other uni

The University of New England all the way up in Armidale you mean? You must apply through UAC as you are an external student. As you've finished the HSC in 2013, you have not yet completed 48 uoc - they will look at your ATAR for admission purely if you apply for Mid-Intake for 2014. And even...

    them Sydney Trains moments

Re: them cityrail moments What happens if you leave the MyBus ticket on the bus before you leave? You still get fine for littering? haha From experience I always catch the city bus weekly last year at least 5 times and I NEVER experienced bus transits or ticket checkers.

Is it possible to do two degrees at once?

Honestly if you're doing that course because its offer at USyd, don't do it. It's not worth it. I know some who's doing that cheap degree in which they are so cocky and arrogant in ways they go to a GO8/Sandstone uni. Pretty shocked at how low this course offering is at a uni like USyd (70...

    Favourite Movies.

I haven't watched Gravity or the Wolf of Wall Street yet - will soon. Wolf of Wall Street seems fine with that girl from Neighbours, especially that pink room scene looks like a turn on. :thrust: By far my most influential and best film of all time goes to the 1971 Kubrick's masterpiece classic...
