A little present for those on campus.

Yes, I've tried this with my cousin on campus last week at Mathews. Got myself a nice bottle of water :)

    Post Your 2014 Sem1 Timetable

Changing my timetable ever so slightly... How's everyone finding 1131/1141/1151?

    Buses during peakhour

I honestly didn't expect the upper campus to have many people queueing up. The 891 to Central I took today at around midday was packed!, and a long M50 passed by so I might as well join that one.

    Buses during peakhour

It wasn't as bad as I thought in terms of waiting times, it only took 1-2 mins. This was around 8:40 - 8:50.
  5. S

    Buses during peakhour

Yep, only very few start at Railway Square.

TSFX Mid Year Lecture for Economics good/bad?

They're pretty good. Although I didn't had a tutor (except for English) in my HSC, I attended all subjects for the Trial session. I still have General Maths + Business Studies 2012 TSFX trial notes.

    Buses during peakhour

If the 891 queue is too long on Eddy Ave, I'll probably take the one that starts at 891 Railway Square (although not all will start here) or just take an alternative public bus as mentioned by Thief.

    Buses during peakhour

I've noticed the green ticket machines were placed near the queue at a fixed place instead inserting them onto the bus. Is this normal or was just an alternative because of O-Week?

    Laptops for Uni

Re: Laptops for university They have some pretty good deals on www.mln.com.au

    UNSW lecture repeats

Was meant to say that! Thanks! :)
  11. S

    UNSW lecture repeats

They are different. ECON1101 is 2 hours worth of lectures work each week. There are some lectures (in your case) have two separate 1hr lectures at different sessions where other lectures (Monday Evening & Thursday Morning) have the straight on 2hr sessions.

    O'Day

I was about to join the Filmanthropy group but it was bit expensive ($15) membership. I join regardless. Turns out that this group haven't had so much meetings/sessions over the year and only have maybe 2 or 3 screenings/meetings that time.

You can sign up anytime, even now. http://www.utsunion.com.au/social/clubs

    UNSW ID cards (2014 students)

When I got my card a couple of weeks ago, it was engraved. I went with my brother the other day and he got reissued with a 2014 sticker instead of a engraved card. I think it's an option, getting a sticker or engraved.

    Timetable Question

That's normal. It just states that any subjects that you have NOT assigned to a lecture/tutorial/lab etc. will appear.

Post your UWS 2014 Sem 1 timetable

Any uni is good for Med. ie. Liverpool Hospital is a teaching hospital for UNSW and UWS students.
  17. S

Out of these three subjects, which is the most difficult?

Difficulty imo ranked: 1. Legal Studies 2. Economics 3. Modern History
  18. S

Does WHERE you get your degree from really matter?

Law matters. Top firms would likely hire graduates from the leading unis.
