The assumed knowledge quiz (AKQ) is just an indication to whether you should take MATH1131 or not. The questions weren't that hard. There were questions relating basic calculus, to trig identities (sum and differences), finding polynomial eqn w/roots etc. Only some topics are tested, not all...

When I did the course last year for a brief time, they did attendance in lectures.

Updated my timetable/courses again, probably will stick to this.

Re: HSC 2015 4U Marathon No Rolle's theorem in MATH1131, only the Mean Value theorem is covered. MATH1131 is the first year maths course at UNSW.

Re: UNSW Chit Chat Thread 2015. Yep because there could be up to 7 classes at the same time, with a different room/location to each with jumbled enrolment numbers to each. So you're likely to be in a different room now. They can't change your time however.

Re: UNSW Chit Chat Thread 2015. Yep same here haha. I had a really funky haircut when I took mine this time last year. FM assist from Mathews Building as others mentioned it. You could also get from the Main Library too, but I think this is exclusive to the O-Week period only.

Nah the maths isn't too intensive, only when you commence 2nd year in majors Finance, Economics and Econometrics - they have same calculus and linear algebra. Other than that you should be fine.

Don't do anything, just let it lapse.
