Instead of proving LHS=RHS or >RHS, prove that LHS-RHS=0 / >0 or whatever. Can make it easier especially for inequalities because if it can be factorised into a square, it has to be greater than zero
its like the those annoying 2 marker proofs like last year. like the (n+1)^41-n^40 can't equal 2. Like proofs like these are annoying and their just gonna find some new nuance to it today. but just gotta hope.

Not sure if this has already been asked but can I use the cover up method in the hsc with partial fractions.

U guys studying anymore?
Nah just revising key identities and topic summaries. No point trying to do practice questions anymore since it'll only stress/tire me out ngl

It's better if my mind is fresh for the exam rather than churned by problems cycling around

Hopefully I can atleast get some marks on 16
If you at least attempt the question then you should be able to fulfil the first bit of the criteria and get a cheeky 1 or 2 marks
Like jot down your thought process and any possible formulas or relationships you could use

we had a 4 marker on it in our trial. U can see one on James Ruse 2020. Basically it just involves sums and algebraic manipulation. The main thing to know is the rectangle below the curve<Area under the curve<Upper rectangle. Probs doesn't make sense but look at James Ruse 2020. I'm a bit suspicious it will pop up cause im yet to see it in a hsc paper at least recently
reimenn sum isn't in our syllabus for mx2 mx1 or advanced.
