I just did the 2004 CSSA trial for extension 1, and I finished in 1hr 10mins, getting 95%. Now why oh why do they go and make ext1 so easy, but ext2 so hard? I struggle to pull off 60% in the CSSA ext2 exams...

That's my point..acmilan said:Not to sound arrogant, but I dont think the 2004 CSSA ext1 exam was too difficult. I got 83/84 and I didnt even do 4 unit maths.
CSSA papers are heaps harder than HSC paper in my opinionantwan2bu said:Can any one tell me how these trial papers comare to the actual hsc? i havent done any past hsc papers because i am a saving them till after the trials. are they as hard as the CSSA papers?
Fair enough, I just did 2003 and got 93%, although it certainly was a lot more difficult, took me closer to the 2 hours too *hopes trend continues* lol. I'm certain my teacher is using the catholic trials this year...acmilan said:What I meant is that I dont think the 2004 ext 1 exam is a good indication of the difficulty of the ext 1 CSSA trials, since I normally wouldnt have gotten 83/84 for other years.
yea the latter questions seem to be easierjustchillin said:Personally, I find the CSSA papers relatively easy, even the 4 unit. The ones that are quite hard are by a person called Sami El Horsi. If you have one try them, they are a lot of fun. Also, with the CSSA papers, I find that qns 1-4 are a little harder than usual and it makes u feel bogged down, I just slow down with them and concentrate on getting them right; usually 6-8 are relatively easy...but that's just my opinion...
When it is legal and everything, could u guyz post the CSSA papers...ishq said:Good Luck for CSSA'ers tomorrow!
I just did 2002 - didnt finish in time "big surprise" - but it was kinda/sorta doable. (Ofcourse I am about to start the "impossible" 2003 - so my confidence goes utterly and completely down the drain )
Sami El Horsi is the guy who has written all the solutions for Arnold....one of his paper thingies is in out library...
Ah, I couldn't do alot of the 2004 (I think) haha.ishq said:Good Luck for CSSA'ers tomorrow!
